I know how important is it is take vitamins while ttc and I am pretty good about remembering to take them but they make me sooo nauseous! I make sure I always take them with food because it is worse if I don't. It is so bad that a few times I have actually thrown up ( once in my car on my way to work.. not fun ). I take One a Day womens vitamins. Some days I don't take them on purpose just to avoid being nauseous.

When i was taking perscription pre-natels before I had m/c, those were even worse. I never had morning sickness but got sick almost every day about 20 min after taking vitamins.

Does anyone else have this problem and found a way around it. Or have found vitamins that don't make them sick.

I'm sorry your having this problem. I take CVS store brand Folic Acid 800 mg and have no problem with nausea. It says take with food, but I often don't and I am still fine. I hope you can find a brand that doesn't make you sick!

I've been taking prenatal vitamins for a few months now. I've found that I have the best luck if I take them right after dinner. I remember how sick they made me when I was pregnant with my son, but I don't have that problem taking them at night. It's worth a shot!

i have the same problem vitamins (i take target's women's daily multivitamin)... if i don't eat a PROPER meal beforehand i'm sick... like just having a banana and coffee doesn't cut it... i needs to be something that'll fill my stomach like a bagel (i found that starchs/carbs work best for me)

i've never thrown up but I'm not the type that throws up easily... i just get hella naseous to the point where i WANT to throw up but can't.

I have lways had a problem taking vitamins, expecially while pregnant. Try taking it at night. If you are taking them for TTC, my doctor said you can try the flintstones vitamins. You take 2 of the chewables a day. I took one in the morning with breakfast and one at night with dinner. breaking them up means your body isn't getting hit with as much of the vitamins and such all at once and will help a bit.

I take a multivitamin that makes me nauseous unless I take it during a meal - or right before I eat. Might try taking a different vitamin?? I know I'm going to once I'm done with the ones I have...

I take a vitamin each night and don't have any trouble with it, but I believe it's the iron that is a big cause of nausea. Maybe you could find one with a lower dosage of iron in it and see if that helps, and get your iron through iron-rich foods instead of taking it directly.

I take them at night with a glass of milk, right before bed, and I'm fine.
