I know this is last minute but I'm 2 hours away from David's Bridal and have decided I want to make a run up there today to try-on dresses ~ but I can't get anyone to answer the phone and the website says they normally open at 11am on Mondays.

Does anyone know if David's Bridal is open today, on Memorial Day???????

I have no idea, but if they aren't answering the phone I'd assume they are closed for the holiday. I would not risk driving 2 hours away and find them closed.

Well, they are normally open from 11am to 9pm on Mondays so I waited until 11am east coast time and called a store in NJ ~ all the David Bridal stores were open from 11am to 5pm today. So, I was at the store by 1pm today. Still, it wasn't worth it. Pushy Pushy Pushy. ...and there is no such thing as a $99 dresss, apparently. :whyme:

they do have the $99 dresses, but not every single day.....

sadly, i found the ONLY DB i've ever been to that was nice, and when i left feedback online, i let them know, that while the rest of the staff was pushy and b*tch, my consultant was the ONLY reason i bought my dress there!

actually, although my consultant was nice, i NEVER use them! i know what i'm looking for, i can tell by looking at the bag i dont want it, etc...i know what size bra i wear, i know i dont want a tiara etc(and DB will try to make you try them on, and let you fall in love, THEN tell you the veil is like $150 w/o a $125 tiara!)

Awww that's too bad. I really loved the girl who worked with me! You are right though, when I went they had a very minimal selection of $99 dresses... but then again I really didn't care because that wasn't what I went in for.

I wish you better luck in the future! :)

Well, I didn't really think I'd get a $99 dress ~ even though the $99 sale was still on (and has now been extended to June 1st) ~ they had ONE dress marked down to $148 ~ that was it. In general, I just didn't like the whole "PUSHY" thing ~ and two consultants got in a little word-war with one another over who was supposed to be my consultant. Ugh. You'd have thought I was at Kleinfeld's, not a low-priced dress store! lol

Still, in the aftermath, it was a good trip and I actually think I'm going to go back and get one of the dresses I tried-on... so... ya never know?? :bbconfused:
