I don't think I snore, but Justin does sometimes. If it bothers me I just make him roll over. It's not that bad.

I snore very quietly when I have a cold. Steve has sinus problems and he snores normally. Usually snoring bugs me and I can't sleep if someone is snore. But I have never had the problem when I'm around Steve

Matthew snores and I was told you just rub their bum and they quit. Guess what? It works, if he starts snoring I rub his butt (clothed of course!! lol) and presto no more snoring. Matt has told me on occasion that I snore but I'm not sure if I do it every night.

DH tells me that I snore a little when my allergies flare up. He use to push and poke at me to try and get me to roll over to quiet me :bbeek: He snores on occasion (or at least it is only occasionally that I notice) if it bothers me I just try to roll him over and he will stop.

Brandi, from now on, tell him to rub your butt. It will kill two birds with one stone. LOL!!!

Mark snors. Usually i just rub his chest and it will make him roll over and he'll stop. Usually long enough for me to fall asleep. He's not really loud though which is nice.

Jerry says i snore like a freight train and occassionally i do wake myself up snoring. now this is bad. :p he only snores if he is extremly tired. it doesn't bother me at all. he says my snoring does not bother him at all. in fact he said he has gotten so used to it he can't sleep without it.

I snore if my sinuses are really bad. Sean snoress if he rolls over onto his back, but that is rare. The one in this house who can snore so loud that it wakes you up, is Ruffles.

Sadie snores too and sometimes she dreams and growles. That can wake you up as well!

Ruffles dreams. She barks, wags her tail, and moves her little feet.

LOL. Sometimes Sadie moans in her sleep too. Sometimes I look at her to see if she's alright because it sounds like she is hurting, but she is asleep.

As long as she sounds happy, I let Ruffles sleep. I think because she is deaf, she can't hear herself to wake up. If she starts to whine, I wake her up. I don't want her to be scared.

OMG I snore and drool...especially if I am comfortable and dead asleep! Eric thinks it's hilarious! Eric doesn't snore but he does jerk when he first goes to sleep...it's too cute, I can tell when he's just about asleep because he "twiches"!

Usually it's cute, sometimes if I'm dozing off (half way unconscious) it's scares the living hell out of me when he does it!

Mark doesen't jerk, and i don't think i do. I do squeek though. My old roomate said i look and sound like a squirl or chipmunk because i curl up in a ball and make a little nest of the blankets. But i make little squeek noises in the night. No idea why.

Exactly. You will just literally jerk yourself awake. It is so strange, when you think about it. I wonder why we do that. Maybe Kelli learned about this in one of her classes, and she can tell us. LOL!! :bblol:

Sorry to burst your bubble Karen, but I only took intro to psych, nothing else that would touch on dreams (it was the history classes and extra-curricular reading that give me the useless knowledge I have!).
Anyways, I asked Jason if I snore and he said "Hell Ya!" So I guess I do. He doesn't...not a lot anyways. Sometimes when he's really really asleep he very softly snores...more like a purr than a snore...does that hurt his manliness? :) I think the bigger problems we have in bed come with my talking in my sleep, or sitting up and screaming because I can't distinguish between what I was dreaming and the fact that I'm now awake. Let's just say we didn't have such a good night when I dreamt there was a snake in the bed. :) When all is said and done, I get a decent night's sleep usually...it's just Jason who has to deal with it! Mwah hahaha!

Oh my god Kelli, we are very similar!! I sometimes dream there are mice in the bed. One night Matt was asking me what I was doing...I was looking under the sheets with a flash light. That's when I woke up and couldn't tell him, but then it dawned on me I was dreaming there was a mouse in the bed. Sometimes I think it could be his feet on my side and my wild imagination combined that puts these crazy dreams in my head!!
I also talk in my sleep!! Lol...lately I've been catching myself telling Matt how much I love him and such! I Can remotely remember it....it's weird. And when I am really sick, I like do this humming singing thing. It's really weird and Matt says QUITE annoying!! lol
Hey Ellen
Don't worry. Matt is a drueler too!! lol. I just stick to my side of the bed!! lol

I'm sorry but snoring is not a HABIT!! lol. It's something that happens when your jaw drops and cuts off the oxygen. It's actually like choking in your sleep if I am not mistaken!!

Here is the wikipedia definition of snoring ...
Snoring is the act of breathing through the open mouth in such a way as to cause a vibration of the uvula and soft palate, thus giving rise to a sound which may vary from a soft noise to a loud unpleasant sound. This most commonly occurs during sleep.
DH says he's seen me snore with my mouth closed a couple of times ... I guess from my nose being half congested or something ;)
The cause of snoring is some kind of blockage in the breathing passage. Those blockages can be of many kinds—here are just a few:
Tongue falling into the throat
Allergies
Throat weakness causing the throat to close during sleep
Mispositioned jaw, often caused by tension in muscles
Fat gathering in, and around, the throat
When the airflow in the breathing passage becomes irregular due to a blockage the soft palate may start flapping. This flapping of the soft palate is what makes the snoring sound.

LOL. Tommio doesn't snore, but he does something really weird. When he is first drifting off he says...."Huh?" like after every breath!(lol) and when ever our son is in the room he will talk to him while he's sleep...(lol) and our son will ask him questions and stuff(lol). I have to laugh before I tell the baby his father is asleep!

FH snores and since I am such a light sleeper, I have to wear ear plugs to sleep at night. But there are nights like last night, that I can hear him through the ear plugs. I only snore if I am really plugged up but he tells me I sigh in my sleep.

Ryan snores like a freight train!! It usually doesn't bother me unless I'm kinda restless and already have a hard time falling asleep. He'll twitch too. But he says I'm worse--I grind my teeth horribly and he says there's been a few times that I've been close to his face and started grinding and it's scared the daylights out of him! He says it's like I'm possessed. :D

I only snore between the hours of 5-8am so FH tells me... He snores as soon as his head hits the pillow... It doesnt really bother me that much and he says I dont bother him... so we're not doing anything about it at the moment.

I don't really snore very much @ all anymore but my drooling, grinding my teeth, and talking in my sleep makes up for it! :D LOL! (Not all 3 together though) I wake up w/ drool all over my pillow and my jaw killing me most days! Sometimes my hubby wakes up w/ drool on his pillow from me too!:o
Michael doesn't snore too bad, He does do this cute little thing where his lips go out and it sounds like he saying "pooo poooo."

DH drools a little in his sleep, I don't say anything to him about it though. I don't think I do that, at least there is no evidence on my pillow like there is on DH's in the morning ;)
