:D Kevin and I actually met via the internet. For me it is still pretty weird but still it is 2006 and I guess a lot of couples meet this way now in the information age.
i was on a chat and he bookmarked me. So as I was looking one day I saw this and decided to see what this guy was all about. I sent him a message and one thing lead to another and we started to talk on msn. I soon found out that he was a single father (a great one I know now), we just clicked on so many levels!
About 3 weeks into talking he asked me if I would like to go to a volkswagon bug show with him in Niagara falls ON (we live in Toronto). I said why not, either we'll love eachother by the end of an 8 hour first date or we'll hate eachother and let it be over. Well we opted for the first and we've been inseperable ever since!!! That day we went to the bug show, then to the butterfly conservatory. Kevin packed us a picnic lunch if things we're going well. He even baked me cookies!!!!! We wanted to have a nice lunch on the niagara on the lake peninsula but got lost and ended up half way home before we decided to stop. Just a great day.
Then last week was our anniversary and Kev said he would love to retrace that magical first day. We did the bug show, the conservatory and we decided to stop in the same place as we did the first time. The little Marina on the lake. This time however it was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I told Kev we could just eat in the car no big deal!!! But he said no we should stay in the little gazebo looking over the lake. So i asked for a hug. I was sitting on the little bench and he got down on one knee to hug me. Then next thing I know there's a ring in front of me, one that belonged to my great gramma. I thought he was kidding. This couldn't be real! no way!!!!!!!!! I got all choked up and so did he. We're still just as mushy gushy as we were after a week only stronger. He's the love of my life!!!!!!!!!!
We're hoping for a September 2007 wedding but it's still up in the air.
