I had surgery on my basal skin cancer on Monday. Now I am cancer free! :) I have no more than 10 stitches on my forehead. I've never had stitches before and man do they suck! Hubby has been great. He cleans and medicates my wound and asks me how my head is, often. I get the stitches out on Monday. This has been a rough week for me, but today is a lot better. I'm glad the cancer is gone and that God was watching over me the day of my surgery. And thanks to you all for your kind words and prayers.

I somehow missed that you had skin cancer. Glad to hear they got it all and that you are well on your way to recovery... and YAY for sweet hubbies!

It was the non-life threatening kind of skin cancer, thank goodness. I had to have it removed though because it was growing and damaging my skin. Thanks for your kind words and yes, definite yay for sweet hubbies!

Stitches are out, but I have to wear a bandage for 3 days and I can't take it off or get it wet. I took a shower today with a shower cap on and was afraid to wash my hair and face, so I didn't. I'm going to wait until Thursday; this sucks. Oh well, 3 days isn't so bad.

Okay, I can wash my hair and face, thank goodness! I talked to another nurse today and she said to not go swimming or anything like that. Yay, yay, yay!
