Last night I went to the hairdresser for a trial run of my wedding updo. It came out great and I'm kicking myself for forgetting my camera, but I digress. At one point, the hairdresser handed me a curling iron and told me to hold it until he needed him and that when he asked for it, not to hand him the hot part. I told him I wouldn't do that to him. He said that, believe it or not, he actually had that happen to him before when he was doing some girl's hair for prom so now he makes it a point to say something. Anyway, moving along to about 45 minutes later, the curling iron was resting on a rolling table he had next to me, hot part near my arm. Well, stupid me, I moved my arm without looking at the table and my arm connected with the curling iron. So, after moving me to one of the hair sinks so I could run cold water over the burn, he said "When I told you not to burn me, I meant don't burn yourself either."

So this morning, the burn was still pussing, so I decided to ask FH what he thought I should do. He told me to put cover up on it. I decided that was a really, really bad idea. So I went to CVS and asked the pharmacist what he recommended. He said neosporin. He also agreed with me that cover up was not a good idea.

So here's a pic I took just a few minutes ago to show you girls/guys the burn, in case anyone is curious.

I burned myself on the oven a couple of weeks ago...mine too was pussing and bubbling.

Anyways, let it finish oozing, apply neosporin. When its done, I've been putting ScarZone on it and it seems to help the healing.

So...other than that, how did the trial go? :)

Thanks for the advice! The trial, other than the burn, went great!

Ouch! Oh, that looks bad! I hope that the neosporin fixes it up quick.

Yikes!! That looks painful. I've, surprisingly, never burned myself with a curling iron... though I did a lot of damage when working at McDonalds, years ago.

Ow, that looks painful. Yes, keep putting that neosporin on it until it heals. On the day of, if it's healed by then, I'm sure you can put make-up on it to cover it up.
