Jason and I have been cleaning all day and it occurred to me that people fall into 3 categories when it comes to cleaning.
I am a surface cleaner and very proud of it. I clean around things and I also vaccum around things. Jason on the other hand is a deep cleaner. He moves everything to clean under and he does the same with vaccuming. I have also realized that surface cleaners clean more frequently than deep cleaners (trust me I know!) LOL
Thought this would be funny!

I'm the last one. I hate to clean, and it takes an act of God to get me started. Only got like this lately.

First off, I am an orginizational freak! Everything has to be in it's place or it drives me crazy! I love to clean. I'd say I do the "deep clean" every other week. Then on the other weeks it's just the basic stuff. Steve is a neat person, not as much as me though. He is normally pretty good about putting stuff away unless it's something he uses a lot. Then he doesn't see a point. Like his hat, keys, wallet and such. I have a little basket on the shelf that I put all my stuff in until I need it. His excuse is, he need to keep it all right on the counter and his shoes out in the open in case he gets a fire call and needs to leave.....lol. I'd call him an inbetween for cleaning. He doesn't move everything on the carpet, but will on the counters!

I am a deep cleaner. I would like to clean more often. I just always seem to have so much to do. I have this next week off so I will be deep cleaning the house tomorrow for sure. Justin is a no cleaner. He is so messy! It drives me crazy! Once every 6 months or so he decides to reorganize everything and then he'll take one day cleaning out the desk. LOL.

I hate to clean. dont ge tme wrong I dont have a dirty house or anything but with 2 kids and a full time job I dont want to spend all my time cleaning. Nicholas does most of it on his days off as he is usualy here without any kids. When I do get itno cleaning I go all the way. Move every thing and every one. ANd I dont want to stop untill it is ALL done. The whole house. BUt it takes alot to get me there. If the floor hasnt been mopped in a couple of days it will start to bug me and Iw ill have to do it. But cleaning is not my first priorty. I dont have alot of time with the kids from the time I get home at night and before they go to bed so the house stays picked up as in the kids know where their shoes and coats go and that their toys belongin their rooms when done with them. As for my computer desk, that thing gets cluttered and once it starts to bug me it gets cleared off. As I said my house is not dirty by any means. I jsut hate to clean.

It depends! On most days I am a surface cleaner and some days (esp. late @ night) I am a deep cleaner, cleaning the walls, the cupboards, you name it...
Michael is def. not the best cleaner in the world, I hate being out of town and comming home w/ his cleaning! He tries, but seems to lay his stuff all around the house and always misses something.

Sean and I are both neat freaks. Sean is a little worse than I am. But th emonth before the wedding I dind't have a chance to do a darn thing. So after the honeymoon I spent three days scrubbing the hosue top to bottom after Sean went to work. I can't stand it. And, I have to sterilize the kitchen before I cook anything and the bathroom at least once a day. With two dogs, I vaccum the floor and the furniture daily and mop every other day.

I fall into the surface cleaner and Alex falls into the "cleaning? Whats that?" category.

Ok.... so for the most part i am a surface cleaner. But once a month i do a good deep clean. Mark is a deep cleaner. He moves things arround. But.... he only cleans that much every other month or so.
When i do the bathrooms i move everything off the counters and out of the tub. But vacuuming.... i only move the small things i can move. I don't bother with furniture.

I would say that I fit into both catogories. I do both types of cleaning and it really depends on the area of the house. Bathrooms are a deep cleaning type thing, where the computer is a surface clean kind of thing. lol

I guess i fall into both categories. i deep clean about every 2 weeks and surface clean the rest of the time. i hate things to be out of place. i to am very organizational. This caused us problems at first but jerry has now learned that everything has a home and he likes it this way too. he said he does not know how he found anything before i came along. he used to be a complete slob and a major packrat. it has taken me four months to get this house like i like it. i spent a good two months just throwing things away. haha.

I would have to say I am more of a surface cleaner. Adam is a deep cleaner, but I have to agree with Amber, it is far and few between when he does. Adam is a slob, I have 2 kids and a full time job. So when I do clean it is after I get off work and while I am cooking dinner. My deep cleaning is done on the weekends when I have the whole day. I turn on Lifetime and clean on commercials.. Takes me all day, but I get it done. :D

Yeah...this sounds like us too. Im a surface cleaner for the most part, but I will do a thorough job once a week or so. Brian on the other hand, hardly ever does the cleaning, BUT when he does, he will move EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Having been a house cleaner for a year, when I clean...I CLEAN! Jason doesn't really care unless he knows it bothers me. I don't clean all the time, but I am a super cleaner when I do clean.

I am off work all day today, and I have decided that I am going to deep clean today! Amber, pick your chin up off the floor. Yes, I am going to do it... any minute now, I am going to start.... as soon as I make sure there are no more new posts, I am definitely going to start.... let me just make sure that my emails are all answered and then I'm going to start.... let me just make sure there is nothing on TV that I need to see, and then I'm going to start....

Ok, I might have to rethink this whole cleaning today thing. Don't laugh, Amber! I can't wash my clothes or dishes until after 9pm. But if I wait till tomorrow (holiday), I have all day to wash them. Yay!! Tomorrow is cleaning day!!! Ok, no more worrying about that ****, now back to the internet!!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_20.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm824YYUS)

I think I probably qualify as a surface cleaner... the kind that stuffed everything under her bed as a little girl so the floor looked clean ;)

Especially when your Mom was ragging on you to clean it. LOL!!

I guess I am a 'surface cleaner' I used to be more of a 'deep cleaner' when I was younger (my sister was the one who hid things under her bed as a child) but I'm getting lazy as I get older ;) I do a light cleaning about once a week or so and a deep clean about once a month. If I cleaned more I probably wouldn't sneeze so much (I've apparently developed some sort of indoor allergy to dust and mold and such) If I could pay someone to clean for me I would!

Hahaha exactly!
My room worked out well... I had drawers under my bed, so past the drawers you couldn't see under the bed. So I'd pull the bed out about a foot from the wall, stick everything under, and push the bed back. No one could tell :bbmrgreen:
