Well I am back from my Oral Surgeon Appointment. I had two bicuspids(21 & 28) removed. The novacaine doesn't work well with me. So I have to do 'laughing gas' and Novacaine. My whole face is numb from my chin to my ears and up to the bottom of my eyes. I can't talk, and the worst part......I can't quit DROOLING! It sucks and FH, of course, makes fun of me! I can feel my heartbeat pulsing in my mouth. I am hungry and thirsty. I can't eat anything solid until the blood clot is gone, can't drink through a straw. Mom made my jello, so I guess I will be eating, jello, pudding, and mashed potatoes for a little while. I am off tomorrow, thank god! But It is going to suck when I have to brush my teeth. WOW, how am I going to do that? uggghhh!

OH MY! I hate the dentist but always try to remind myself that the dentists of today are 100% better than what they used to be.
Take it easy... and try and sleep it off.

Oh, I know it. My dentist growing up was very, well let me put it this way...he didn't like dealing with kids and every kid to him was whinny, he would tell us to shut up and quit being whinny and it really doesn't hurt that much. So from then on I thought ever dentist made you hurt and treated you poorly. Well my new dentist takes his time and makes sure you are 100% comfortable with was is going on and that you feel absolutely no pain. Not to mention extremely nice and the Hygenist are also extremely nice.
I didn't feel a thing when they were yanking them out, but the visual of the instruments they were waving infront of my face made me very faint, not to mention I can't stand the site of bodily fluids and my pain tolerance is very low. So I had to close my eyes. In fact I didn't even know they were out until the hygenist said, they are both out. He gave me a prescription for pain killers. The numbness is starting to where off a little, so hopefully I can take this gauze out of my mouth, they said I have to replace it every hour for 24 hours.
ughhh......this sucks

Even when I go in for check ups and cleanings I can't watch what they're doing. I close my eyes from the time I sit in the chair, til the time they say they're done (unless I have to rinse or something).
Oh, poor thing! The dentist is no fun and I hate that numb drooling effect!

Well, this morning is worst. I haven't taken any pain meds since before bed last night, but my gums are starting to bruise and swell. It hurts to even touch the sides of my mouth. It even hurts to yawn.
Ok, I bet you guys are tired of my complaining....:icon_barbar:
FH says it is sooo quite around the house now that I can barely talk! lol
Thanks for everything you guys

No, worst today. My mouth woke me up several time during the middle of the night. Even laying my head on my pillow hurt. I have chipmunk cheeks and it is a very deep aching. And now that I am limited to water, ice cream, pudding, mashed potatoes, etc. It seems like every commercial on tv is FOOD!!! Especially ZAXBY'S OHHHH MYYYY. I am sooooo going to attack that place when I am able to eat
