Honeymoon 2

We're planning on taking an Alaskan Cruise for our honeymoon. However, because we're getting married in Ohio, we'll have to find some form of transportation out there. I'm so sick of air travel and the **** you have to go through at airports nowadays. I thought about taking a train across country. They have cabin type accomodations, so we wouldn't be sitting in a seat for three or four days and that gives us have some "in room time" in which we're not missing anything really incredible. However, I've never traveled by train before. Has anyone? Any thoughts?

I have never travelled by train but know many who have and I think it would be an excellent alternative to an airplane. I honestly think it could be quite romantic!

When I lived in Denmark we always traveled by train... Take the train it’s a experience that most never get to do! :wink:

Thanks you all. You really calmed my fears about taking a train out there. We'll still probably be flying back, but I think we're going to take the train out there. I think we'd really enjoy it. Of course, we're going to make sure that we get a room and aren't stuck sitting on a seat for that long. :)
