Stress can cause periods to be late. And you have been rathered stressed lately.

Have you guys used regular birth control? If so, I wouldn't be worried about it. Also, as mentioned, you have been stressed, which is a big cause of late periods.

At the end of every semester AF disappears for me. It's probably stress.

If u have forgotten to take a pill this month then while it's probably not LIKELY it is a possibility.
i don't want to scare you but the pill's not 100% even when u take it every day religiously at the same exact time (i have 4 friends w/babies who were on the pill n took it w/100% accuracy). So if you don't want to get preggers u need to make sure that ur using a backup if u sometimes forget b/c with each forgotten pill in a month the effectiveness of ur bc decreases
like others say stress does odd things to AF, sometimes she comes early, late or not at all... since u have a neg. pregnancy test ur prolly fine
i just wanted to add my PSA for proper BCP taking... i had to give this talk many times to my freshman girls back in the day b/c they'd miss pills then take like 4 at a time n think that would make them good for the month... or they'd take it at like 8am one day 10pm the next day noon the day after LOL

My BC pill was so fussy, if I missed it by 1 hour, I'd be spotting the next day!

At two weeks late and a negative test I would say you are most likely NOT pregnant. If you are really worried about it, I would go ahead and go to the doctors for a blood test. Otherwise, sit back and try to relax, the stress of worrying will only delay your period longer. ;)

When you were sick were you on antibiotics? My cousin got PG because her antibiotics counter acted her BC. Not saying that you are. I'd wait a few days if AF doesn't visit test again.

How regular were your periods before? If you were on the pill were you getting them consistently every four weeks?
I agree with the other ladies - I think you should go to the doctor - if for no other reason than to give yourself an answer one way or another. :chimp:

When I went off the pill 2 years ago I went 3 months without AF. Then she came for a month and then nothing for another 3 months. It took me a while to get back to normal and I'm still a little off from time to time.
I agree with everyone else. If you're worried about it go get a blood test.

Thanks laides.
Well, the doctor only did an internal, and said he didnt feel anything. He ordered a blood test for me, and an ultrasound. He said he doesnt think I am pregnant, but he is not sure. He said it could be a hormonal imbalance or ovary cysts. Im not sure if that is bad or not.
But I have to do a blood test and ultrasound soon

Well hopefully you'll know for certain soon. I wouldn't worry if it's an ovarian cyst - I've had many - they typically go away on their own and in general you wouldn't even know it was there. Very rarely are they a serious problem.

So when will you have your blood test and ultrasound? I had ovarian cysts growing up and they always would go away on there own. I would not worry about it.
He had to order an ultrasound? Why couldn't he do it right then and there? Good luck - keep us informed!!

i agree w/FFC... idk if i'd go to a gyn w/o an ultrasound machine in their office!... thats basic equipment for their specialty... what if they were concerned about an ectopic pregnancy... an immediate ultrasound could be the difference b/w life and death in some instances...
