Frizzy and dry hair are not always the same ;) I have normal hair (not dry or oily) and have frizz sometimes.
If your hair is just dry then you need moisturizers ... I have heard people use mayo and eggs and avocado (not together) to make their hair soft and shiny.
Frizzy hair is breakage and fly-aways, so you need a smoothing product. I use to use frizz ease or a similar oil type product to keep it down; hair spray works too ;) You just gotta not use too much so you won't get oily greasy hair. I think there are restoring products out there too.
I am not sure of anything at home to help, but I assume any sort of oil type thing might work as long as it isn't too greasy.
A good fine bristle brush can help frizz too. But if you have curly hair or a sort of messy style (which works well with frizz/fly-aways) then that won't work.

Thank you! I will have to try the mayo, egg thing.
My hair is pretty frizzy from damage right now :( I tried the frizz ease thing, and it just doesn't seem to be workin

I really like Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship leave in conditioner. It works wonders and is only about $2-3! One pump, rub over your ends of your hair, and your hair is shiney and smooth!

I have really frizzy hair, and Frizz Ease has never worked for me either!
I really like Citre Shine's anti-frizz line. I use the serum before I straighten my hair, and then there's a light spray that keeps your hair shiny afterward.
It's pretty inexpensive and a little goes a very long way!

I just remembered that I use to use BioSilk and it was way better than Frizz Ease for frizz -

I second (third?) the mayonnaise suggestion! My friend, who has a very sensitive scalp, uses mayonnaise as a conditioner, and it leaves her hair looking soft and shiny!
She does smell a little like a salad, though. :lafhard:

This is why I have been hesitant to try the mayo thing. Do you wash it out or just rinse?
I heard that when you use egg you have to wash it out with cold water so you don't end up picking half cooked scrambled egg out of your hair ;)

You just rinse!
We never tried it with the egg, though! Scrambled egg in hair sounds... so gross. :urgh:
