Does anyone have any holiday plans to share with us?

Today is my brother's birthday, so we are going over there and see him. Also, Amber accidently tore a seam in her wedding dress so my mother (who is an expert seamstress) is going to fix it for her. Other than that, nothing really, just enjoy the holiday and the days off.

We are doing nothing for the next 4 days. On Tuesday we might go and watch the fireworks. Other than that our weekend includes the big plans of catching up on all the Netflicks that have been colelcting dust, the honeymoon reading that we never did, and buying room darkening blinnds for the bedroom.

OMG, Lacey, I'm a Netflixer too! Used to do "8 out at one time", but couldn't afford that anymore. Now I'm down to 3. I love romance movies more than anything else, but if it's good, I want to see it. LOL!!

We do the 3 at a time because it takes us forever to watch them. I think the three that we have now have been sitting around since before Easter. Our list is really long because we are always thinking of something we want to add but we never get that high turnover rate. Plus, you can get all the Northern Exposures from them now. SO I plan on doing that while Sean is travelling a lot this fall. (I love Chris in the Morning. He is a Wheeling, WV boy!)

I don't have that problem. I usually get them and return them within a few days. I have never seen Northern Exposure but I have rented all the seasons of many TV series. I just wait till the TV shows come out on DVD, and then watch them. It is so much more fun to watch them without commercials. LOL! Here are the ones I absolutely loved:

Rescue Me
The 4400
Deadwood
Alias
24
The Shield
Nip/Tuck
Desperate Housewives
Oz
Grey's Anatomy
Project Runway
America's Next Top Model
Lost
Smallville
One Tree Hill
The O.C.
Angel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
MI-5
The Sopranos

Well today is Canada day so I'm sure there are parades and lots of events going on but Matt is flying and I'm at home. And I doubt that he will want to really go anywhere when he gets home. Except for back to bed because he had to be up at about 5:30 this morning. Lol. We were in bed by 10 o'clock last night. Man, we're really becoming that old married couple!! lol

We don't have any plans for this weekend. We may grill out some burgers at some point, but nothing major ... just be lazy together.

Monday night we're going to my grandma's house to shoot fireworks with everyone. Me and Andrew are the official lighters -- and this year they spent $541 on fireworks! We're going to be there a while. Then Tuesday we're having a cookout for lunch. Then it's back to work for me on Wednesday.

Well for some reason our city is celebrating the 4th today ( the 1st). so while Nicholas worked to day I took my kids my brother and a freind of mine brough ther son and her niece down and we all went to the parade. I was going to go to a craft fair but we hung our here and waited for the phoen guys to show up to fix my phone. We are headed down to one of the beaches later for the fire works. They are having all day tings going on as they do every year. They have the NH Idolas top 10 performing and they crown their winner just before the fire works start. They have all sorts of consesion stands and things for the kids to do. We dont spend all day they. We dont normaly go down untill about an hour or so before the fire works. And as last year the kids dad is going to be there so the kids will go with him to watch the fire works and then come home with me. It is ok with me as I get tim ewih Nicholas alone. On Tuesday the 4th it just so happens that we all have the day off. So if the weather is nice we may go to the beach. If it is raining we may have a game day at home with the kids. And mostly likely a movie or 2. It is a play by ear that day but we are all together and that doesnt happen much these days. It will be very nice.

Steve works this weekend, the night shift. So I'm on my own for the most part. Today I worked days, and he just went in to work. Tomorrow, I'm picking up some more overtime then cleaning out our vehicles. Monday is cleaning day. I don't know if Steve will have to work that night. It is considered a holiday at his plant and will only have to work if not enough people volenteer to. But we have firework the town fireworks that night (they are shot off pretty much in my back yard!) Then probably a BBQ on Tuesday.

Well, this weekend we don't really have any plans. I have to work Monday, which got us out of going to a cookout at Jason's grandmother's...thank goodness! (Nothing against her...of course!) However, Tuesday, we're going to Jason's grandfather's house to have a cookout with that family (his grandfather died the end of April and they want to use the land that his house sits on before they have to sell it, because it's a TON of land!) Then, next weekend, we're going to Maryland to my un-step-half-brother's (don't ask) keg killer. That's about it. Work kind of gets in the way of really doing much of anything. But I'd rather be working all week, because I don't get holiday pay, so I'm just loosing that eight hours on Tuesday, and right now, we really can't afford it.
