I am looking mostly for a necklace to wear on my wedding day. I don't need anything expensive or flashy - just something simple. Here is my wedding dress and a set that I found that I thought was cute.. I was trying to incorporate burgundy into it, which is what my bridesmaids will be wearing. Should I just get something more plain without the color?

Etsy.com is your friend :)
They have a lot of jewelry on the website, and if you have an idea of exactly what you'd like and can't find it, a lot of the jewelry makers there will do custom items.
I make bead jewelry, and I'm going to make mine, but I am waiting to find a dress to match it!
I don't see anything wrong with incorporating color - there's no rule about HOW to be pretty, if it's pretty, it works :)

I think the Necklace and Earrings will look fab with Your Dress. Both Dress and Jewellery are stunning.
I wore a Red Dress when i got Married. I also wore an Egyptian Red Enamel Ankh on a Black Choker.
Colour is good. :winktongue:

I really like your jewelry! I think the red stones look very nice. And hey, at least you're jewelry will match! My heirloom pearls won't match anything (well, the pearls will!) because the stones are emerald and garnet, but my engagement ring is iolite (a very dark purple) and my wedding band is sapphire and diamond! LOL!
I will probably buy some 'pearl' earrings from Claire's or somewhere (unless I find a REALLY good deal on Ebay) for my ears, all I'll need are studs anyhow.
The only unifying theme is the pearls, except for my rings, which don't involve pearls at all.
But I figure, if the guests at my wedding notice that my jewelry doesn't exactly match with each other, then they're totally missing the point!!!

Check out annabellagio.com. They have a ton of color options. I was weary of ordering from there because the pictures made things look a bit cheap, but the quality is great and I actually ended up getting all of my bridal jewelry from there!
Also, check out carolee.com. I don't know if they still have it, but they used to have a set of pearl and garnet pieces that were gorgeous. I'm not a big necklace person so I didn't get the full set, but I bought the ring and earrings from that collection and have worn it to several functions.

Yes I think it looks good if you get plain and it is compatible with your wedding dress.
