Well, I figure I might as well start a journal!

I am suprised by the fact that I'm rather sad that the whole wedding thing is over with. I spent 8 months pouring my heart and soul into our wedding day and now I feel like I have nothing to do. It's just really hard to believe that we are married, the wedding is over with... no more planning, no more presents (okay, that was a huge plus to getting married!)... nothing. I guess I need to pick up a new hobby now, lol.

I must say though, even though it has been non-stop "on the go" for the last week, spending time with DH over the last couple of days have been great. Today we drove up to Springfield to take the tuxes back and made a shopping day of it. No schedule, no plans, just driving around and doing what we want to do. We both got some stuff for the honeymoon, including a new waterproof digital camera! I was worred about taking my really nice $400 camera with us and this was just beyond perfect. We are both really excitied about it!

Some good news; DH had an audition in St. Louis at a talent agency for acting. He was accepted and goes back up on May 12th to finalize everything. I am sooo happy for him and really hope that he is able to get some work right away. That would be the best thing that could ever happen to us!

So, today I got most of my hair chopped off! You can see here how long it was from our engagement pictures:

And it now (and sorry, it's a horrible picture! I just woke up, lol)

And I was playing with our new camera...

Well, we got back from our honeymoon yesterday. I am happy to be home but at the same time I'm sad that we couldn't stay longer.

Jamaica wasn't really what I expected. I knew going in there was poverty, but I didn't know it was THAT bad. People are living in tiny little shacks everyone. There were a couple people working at the resort who lived in shipping crates next to it. It was sad. :( But at the same time, the ocean was beautiful and we had a great time on the tours we did. The snorkeling and beach were great too. I would definently go back!

Glad you had fun on your honeymoon!

I felt the same way after my wedding... sad that it was over, and looking for something to do. Now, though, I'm enjoying the peaceful quiet of our normal, everyday lives. :)

Nice haircut! I chopped off all my hair after the wedding, too. :)

I went yesterday to change my name on my social security card and drivers license. I guess it's offical now! :D Oh, and the bank. Today I get to work on the super long list of other places I need to call to get my name changed. Yay. :snide: lol

I am so suprised that married life is the exact same as single life. Nothing has changed between hubby and I (which is a good thing!), it's hard to think that we are actually MARRIED! We have been living together for a year and a half now, so we are completely comfortable and used to each other. I just for some reason was under the impression that things would feel different after the wedding and they don't. I guess a lot of people feel that way though?

I'm pretty excited that I start my new job on Friday! I'm going to be working as a janitor at the schools part time for now, full time after school gets out. I'm really hoping that when school starts up again a secretary position will open up, but for now I'm just happy to have a job! And a good job at that. I have no problem with cleaning, mowing, ect. and the benefits are excellent. So yeah, I'm excitied!

The photographer sent us a couple of teaser pics! These both were taken outside of the country club... it was REALLY windy, lol. I'm sad though, these were the only outside shots we were able to take. :(

My MIL's church friends threw a late bridal shower for us tonight. It didn't work out for us to have it before the wedding, but it was still a lot of fun! We had cake and punch, all the ladies wrote down a recipe to share with us, and of course there were presents! :P

I was so excitied that we got 8 sets of a 4 place setting that I reaaallly wanted. I'm so happy to have things that match (finally!!). This is it:

I am bummed. We spent a lot of money on that silica stuff to preserve my flowers. Well, last night I went to take them out and re-dry the stuff and when I picked my bouquet up it just fell apart into tiny little pieces. The only thing I could salvage was a single rose out of it. I am sooooo sad. :( Not only that, but our stupid cats got ahold of and ate DH's bout and my garter as well last week. :sob:

Just wanted to share that tuesday was our two year dating anniversary. :D We didn't get to do anything because DH has been working past 10pm... but he did come home, give me a kiss and tell me "happy anniversary". He is so sweet, I can't believe he even remembered!

Thank you!

It's been awhile since I posted. :) Things have been kind of... complicated lately. DH has been out of a job for a month and half, so things have been REALLY tight. We have gone through our entire savings account and are dirt broke right now even with me working 40 hours a week. His unemployment got messed up, so they are saying it may take a few more weeks for him to get his first paycheck. Thankfully, that won't be neccesary (unless they are going to pay him for the weeks he was unemployed) because he found a job today. It's minimum wage, but heck... it's sooooo much better than nothing!!

On top of money problems, our air condition broke 3 days ago and it's been in the 90's. I'm beyond miserable. Of course, I'm super cranky because of it... poor DH! Hopefully we can get someone out this week to fix it (fingers crossed, anyway).

I have, in the mean time, been making baby products to sell. Handmade diaper bags, diaper changing pads, clothes, ect. It's been a lot of fun! Sewing is my thearpy, so to speak. I'm hoping to make a little bit of extra money every month from it. Maybe down the road I will even be able to do some craft shows! I think that would be really fun. :)

Wow, it's been a loooooong time since I updated. Life has been so busy lately. DH finally found a new job. We have been following through with some problems from our previous employer which I won't get into right now, but it looks like things are going to go very well for us. Oh... and the biggest news of all... we are expecting our first baby!! :D

So yeah, it's been a little bit of a rollercoaster these past few months. I am very happy though and very much enjoy being a wife. My husband is awesome and I couldn't ask for a better man in my life.

Thank you so much!!

I have a very, very basic website that I haven't really messed with in a few weeks (and really need to). It's http://ittakestwobaby.weebly.com/ (http://[URL). I'll be sure to get some more of my stuff up there before too long! Otherwise, I can post pictures on here if you like. :)

My advice would be to "suck it up." Put the camelback on first and everything else on over that way if for any reason you have shed your gear you still have your water source. It takes some getting used to, but what doesnt? Right?
Did I miss something or does this make no sense at all?

Looks like someone just created a user name just to say random stuff or mess with people.

It happens sometimes on the other forum I frequent. People are so weird.
