So I just got engaged and I am so confused, I am actually in the bridal industry since I am a makeup artist but yet I still fined my self lost.
We had already picked out the date and place but I run into an issue with my wedding coordinator (she is also my future sister-in-law) she is so creative and wonderful but I don’t think she really understands me I like simple elegant and classy yet her style is more bling bling, she is also getting married but her budget is way way bigger than mine almost triple and although she has great ideas they are all out of my price range.
For those of you that are having a wedding with a normal size budget ($20,000-$22,000) can you recommend me on vendors that are in my area that will be in my price range.
I need chair rentals, stands for candles for the ceremony florists ect

While this may not entirely address your specific questions...I really suggest picking up a book from a local book store. There's a ton of wedding planning books out there so you can be able to put in your advice. I picked one that was very general and really serves as more of an organizer. However, because it has spots for everything I might possibly need, it also reminds me about what I'm forgetting.
Secondly, when searching for rentals, try your area phone book or the internet. Google has been a VERY useful tool for me.
Good luck!

Google for "local bridal forums". I'm sure other bride-to-be's will happily take you into the fold.
As for the FSIL, she sounds great, but perhaps your fiance could tactfully tell her of your (the both of you) wishes to have an elegant, minimal affair, and to remind her of budget restrictions.
So, normally one would start looking at reception sites. Talk it over with your fiance, prioritize what your needs/expectations are. When do you want to get married? When you say "my wedding", what is the first thing you think about? Is there an important date, etc, etc. A good wedding planner book will guide/prompt you to think of these things.

Check in your local area for places to hold your ceremony or reception that are all inclusive. Many places will offer chairs, and all the needed items for the reception, and will include it in their price. We got married at a country club and we had chairs, tablesl, umbrellas (it was outside), linens, flatware, dishes, etc. all included in our price. It sure does save you a lot of money doing it that way.

for favors just check into the internet and type in various things that you and your FH are interested in...you might be surprised with what you end up with.
weddingaccessories.net is a great place. I live in canada and ordered through them and it took less than 2 weeks to be shipped just standard shipping for my ballet slippers to show up.
don't limit your creative self, and just have a lot of fun with planning. i have had the time of my life planning my wedding, don't think it's not stressful it is but it's also a time to totally get to know your FH a whole lot better and on a different level. if he's willing get him involved...some our best and most creative ideas came from my FH...honestly.
