I can't believe we are married!! The last week has been so hectic, so let's see if I can remember most of went of the past couple of days...

Thursday (4/23/09):
We had to drive up to Springfield, MO (a 2 hr drive) to get the tuxes. The only guys who could come with us were DH and my brother. Both of them had fitting issues with their tuxes, so I didn't have much hope for the rest of them. Needless to say, we were not happy in the end with any of the tuxes we rented from Men's Warehouse!

We made a day trip of it though and decided to do some shopping for the honeymoon, take some un-needed gifts back and spend some of our gift cards. It was fun! When we got back we all went to my aunt's house for dinner.

Friday (4/24/09):
Got up early to take the dogs to the boarders and pick up our paychecks at work. We then found out about this huge mess going on at work involving them re-hiring an employee that was fired a month ago for very good reasons, talking about firing FH since he took her job, the current manager quitting over it, and them replacing him with someone who was fired 6 months back for sexually harassing myself and another girl at work. Yeah, talk about a scandal. And all of this the day before my wedding!!!

At one o'clock two of my bridesmaids, my mom, my aunt and myself all went to get french pedicures. It was a lot of fun! I've never had my nails done before and I love them. I'm dreading having to take them off for work on Wed.

At four o'clock most of my family showed up at the church to help decorate. We ended up having to move out a bunch of fake flowers out, which was a big pain because we had to move *everything* back where it was after the ceremony. DH called me about ten minutes before five to tell me there was a last minute meeting at work about all that is going on. So I ended up having to leave without finishing the church (and come to find out later that night, I forgot a whole bunch of stuff at home, ugh).

The meeting went until 6:15 and our rehersal was planned for 6:30, so I was kind of freaking out. Then, on the way to the rehersal DH drops a bomb on me and says that the pastor will not be at the rehersal. OMG!!! I am so pissed off and of course I'm thinking that the entire night has been ruined. My step dad really stepped up at took over, getting everyone where they needed to be. So, everything turned out all right in the end.

After the rehersal everyone met up at Pizza Hut. I think there were 35 of us total. It was a blast. I felt soooo bad for the girls who were serving us though, lol. I finally got to meet the rest of DH's family and his family got to meet mine (well, the ones they hadn't met yet).

After dinner I ran home, loaded up my car with the things that I forgot and headed out to the bar with two of my bridesmaids. We didn't end of getting there until after 10pm and I had to be up at 6:30 the next morning, so we didn't end up staying too long. After a few drinks and making fun of some really crazy guys out of the dance floor (oh yeah, and being flashed by a guy), we all headed home and crashed.

... and the rest is to come later, because we are leaving for a family cookout. :P

I knew that some things would go wrong, but I wasn't quite prepared for just how many things would go wrong! I can't complain though, it was amazing!

Saturday (4/25/09)
Woke up bright and early at 6:30am and headed over to the country club to decorate for the reception. I was really emotional by this time over the things that didn't get finished the day before and I ended up breaking down crying over the fact that I did not even think to iron the table runners and they looked pretty crappy. I had a lot of people helping though and I realized how stupid it was to be worrying about wrinkles in table runners when I was getting married in just a few hours! Everything was finished and at 9am I headed off to get my make-up and hair done.

After hair and make-up one of my bridesmaids and I went out to lunch. The looks I got walking in with a tiara and veil were pretty funny. After that we headed to the church to finish decorating. I ended up having my mom call DH to stall coming to the church because of the whole mess. In turn, the boys were late taking pictures, which made us late taking pictures... so we didn't get as many pictures as we wanted (argh!).

Well, the ceremony was amazing. It went by soooo fast. At rehersal the walk down the aisle took forever, but during the ceremony I can hardly remember it! The look on DH's face when he saw me for the first time... needless to say I about cried. When we did our vows, DH choked up and started crying (so sweet!). I wasn't sure he would get through them, lol. I got through mine just fine but made the mistake of looking over at my bridesmaid, Micki, and she was bawling... it was pretty much downhill from there! lol

So, we got through the ceremony and on the walk back out I totally forgot to get my bouquet from Micki, lol. Ah well. After the recieving line we did the whole bird seed tossing. I was picking it out of my hair and bra all night, lol.

After all that we had to clean the church up real quick and bustle my dress before going out to the park to take pictures. We were running late so Micki said she would get everyone going and we would meet them out there only running a few minutes behind. We got my dress done... I come out of the bathroom... DH is no where to be found. I didn't have my phone with me and spent a good 10 minutes looking for him before I could get a cell phone from someone. I called him and he is like "I'm on my way to the park!". Uhhhh.... are you kidding? Yes girls, my husband left me at the church!! lmao We ended up not going to the park because there just wasn't enough time. We did get a couple of outdoor pictures at the country club, though it was *really* windy so I'm not sure how they will turn out.

I also realized at the reception that I had at some point got make-up all over the front of my dress, plus the train had oil on it from the parking lot. I spent a good 15 minutes working with shout wipes to get it out. Most of it came out anyway. At this point I also realized that the pastor who married us never signed our marriage license!!!!!!! :bbeek: We now have to mail it to him to get it signed since he doesn't live around here.

The rest of the night was awesome. Everyone loved the food, cake, favors, decorations, ect. The dance floor was jumping all night and everyone said they had a great time. It was by far the best day of my life. I still can't believe it actually happend, it feels like a dream!

I know I'm forgetting a lot, but... maybe with pictures it will be easier to fill in some of the gaps without an entire paragraph of description. ;) Pictures from the photographer should be here later this week and whenever my family sends theirs I will post them.

Good for you having an amazing time despite the small things going wrong.

I couldn't help but to LOL when I read that your DH left you at the church. I'm fairly sure I had that wedding nightmare while planning.;)

I can't believe your pastor forgot to sign your license.:bbeek:

I'm glad that everything turned out well.

I said it in your journal but I'm gonna say it again. Congratulations!

Can't wait for the pictures.:)

WOOHOO!!!!! Welcome to the MRS club!!!!! :) :) :)

ETA: I just read your post (had to take a break from work *shhh* )

Reading your wedding day brought back my wedding day and I teared up. OmG it's DejaVu!! From running out of time for the guys/girls pics, to running late, to looking at your bridesmaid and seeing her cry - of course it'd go downhill from there!!! Oh yeah, we also had marriage license issues - one of our witnesses didn't sign in the right place which put off our license an extra few weeks. UGH!

The best part of it is - YOU'RE MARRIED!!!!!! :whoohoo:
