I have a question about make up, maybe it's already been answered... After I wear my make up all day, my eye shadow pools in the creases of my eye lids. Does anyone know how to stop this? I don't want to spend hundreds on make up, and I don't have overly oily skin, if anything I have dry skin. I work at a job where I move around a lot and get warm, but I don't sweat a lot.

when you're applying foundation & powder apply to your lids as well.
before adding shadow use your shadow brush to add powder lightly on your eyelids (priming like lilmsjess suggested)
then you do your eyeshadow how you normally do it.

After the very helpful tips from Brandi and Gwen, I've been messing around with makeup and I had the same problems. Yesterday though, we were going to our city's equivalent of Central Park and I covered myself completely in sunblock, including on my eyelids. (I'm paranoid about sun burns.) The eyeshadow went on much darker than usual, so I powdered my eyelids after I put on the eyeshadow, but it stayed on exactly as I applied all day. So, I'm thinking Adri's tip is the orthodox equivalent of that haha.

I use foundation and power myself, and I still get eyeshadow all bunched up in my eye creases. Granted, it doesn't happen for a while, but still.
I've just gotten used to carrying a small bit of the eyeshadow around with me at the party, and touching up every once in a while.

are you moisturizing right before applying foundation & powder? I've noticed that when I do, and I use eye cream for my eyes specifically, it works out a lot better.
Christine: it's a tip I got from my baby sis -the make up artist. I had to learn how to apply makeup from my kid sister
