Everyone's asking for prayers... so am I!!

My MIL just emailed me and told me that the State is hiring 6 people in her office immediately. Like, by the end of next week. She said that if the test is already taken then there's more of a chance at the job. Well, I've already taken the test, and I'm turning in my app on Monday *fingers crossed*

Positive thoughts and prayers my way please!!!!! If I can get my foot in the door in State then the only way to go is up! In her office they're so shorthanded they have people doing OT every weekend. Since I'm in school for a criminal justice degree, this job will help me later on once I get my degree. *yay!*

Okay, I'm not supposed to be excited yet - but I am lol.

DH is in a similar position... The job won't be open for a while, but DH stands a VERY good chance at it and is already on great terms with several people in the office. If he gets that job, I'll be promoted to his current position, so it will work out wonderfully for us. It's hard not to get excited yet, though!!!

Thanks ladies! I've talked with my MIL a bit more about it. Come to find out, the 6 positions are for something a little lower than I can afford to accept. SO, she did some poking around for me and found THE position that I've been wanting to get into. She got a hook up with the son of the boss and she's turning in my application on Monday. This is a GOOD THING! Means I will be about 10 minutes from the new house if I get into this place in downtown! :whoohoo:

Thanks everyone! Still waiting to hear. Apparently my application didn't make it to 'the boss' till last night. I gave it to MIL > who gave it to her friend in the other department > who gave it to the boss's son > who gave it to the boss. Or at least, that's what we're hoping happened LOL!
