These are the first pictures from my very first dress fitting on April 18, 2009. The black stuff is a cotton skirt that's standing in for the 'real' skirts, which my seamstress hadn't finished yet. And it's over a hoop too, but you can't see my feet in any of the pictures so there's no way to judge how wide the hoop is.
Please ignore my hair, it's always limp and thin like that. There's just nothing to be done about it.
Pic #1, a full on front view:

With this picture, you can see the busk of the corset going up and down in a straight line just under the muslin, right in the middle of the bodice. And if you look closely, you'll be able to see where she marked out the new neckline -- she had to add some more muslin to do it. I just didn't feel comfortable exposing that much cleavage! It's a wedding, after all, not an all night party. The pins are where the original neckline is, and incidentally, where the corset stops, the corset not having sleeves or straps! I am wearing a teeshirt because you don't want to have your corset touch your skin, for a number of reasons. When it comes to the big day, I'll be wearing a soft cotton tube top underneath everything, so that it won't look funky.
Picture #2, the back:

In this one, if you look really hard you can kind of see the line of the skirt.
And finally, Picture #3, a side view:

The bolt of cream colored fabric behind me is the Ralph Lauren silk that my underskirt is going to be made out of. And if you've got a very keen eye, you might be able to discern the shadow of one of my tattoos under the sleeve of the teeshirt -- on my arm that's closest to the camera.
She's leaving big seam allowances just in case I gain more weight, and of course, everything that's pinned and so on on the outside right now with this mockup will be hidden on the inside on the actual dress. The bodice is going to be lightly boned here and there to make it lay straight in places, and I convinced my seamstress to go with (fake) buttons and a hidden zipper for the back closure! Yay!
These pictures don't do themselves justice. Even as a muslin mock-up, we both could tell right away that this design was the right dress for me. It's gorgeous.
