Hi I'm Marina

After 6 years in a wonderful relationship 3 of them being engaged we finally set the date. The wedding is In 1 month and 20 days. Ever since we set the date I have been having crazy dreams. like zombies attack but instead its old boyfriends or new guys even my fiance is in the mix. I love my soon to be husband and I'm not getting cold feet. I think its just my subconscious acknowledging that I will be off the market completely even though I have been off for 6 years any one else having crazy dreams ?:ooh:

I think lots of women here have had unusual to downright weird dreams. My last on that was wedding related was that I had to walk to the wedding carrying my dress, which weighed like 50 pounds. I get there and someone takes the dress from me, and next fh walks in and he says that he never agreed to the wedding right now. So then starts walking in my family, and I am freaked because now i have to cancel, only none of them know we were getting married that day anyway. Apparently I didn't send anyone an invitation, they were there for something else.

So then my next panic is about the dress, as it is lost. I am running around looking for it when my aunt comes up to me and says in front of all my family that I am getting married that day. So then I have to tell everyone that we aren't getting married, I can't find my dress and fh is just walking around like no big deal.

This is just the latest out of quite a few I have had. I think it is pretty normal actually. You think wedding wedding wedding, see something on tv or in a book, and thenext thing you know the two co-mingle in your subconcience.

I just make them into a joke with fh now. I find it kind of humorous that my mind can make all these senarios up.

OH< welcome to Onewed. There are alot of great ideas and thoughts here.

Seriously! I have so many strange dreams, then when they started becoming wedding related or relationship related, I don't bat an eyelash. Last night I dreamt that there were too many bombs and weapons in the western new york area and because of the density they were exploding, but no one really knew how to transport them. I think it is the stress at the end of the semester.

There are at least two threads about wedding nightmares here on Onewed -- you can search for them. So you're not alone!

I would suspect that you're all of a sudden getting them now because you've finally set a date. That act makes it all 'official' and 'real', as opposed to sometime far in the future.

Less than 2 months might also be bringing up some planning stress too, hence nightmares about getting everything done.

Don't worry, you're not alone, and it's totally normal :) Welcome to Onewed!

i have had a few wedding nightmares, the best(worst?) was having to go buy a new dress days before cos mine got damaged and i couldnt get mine reordered in time. so i was in the wrong colour ( and not too happy about it)

however i have found that i have the worst dreams when my bedroom window is closed and the is nor air circulating in the house. air con on is fine, as is ceiling fan, but neither with window closed is almost garanteed to give a weird/bad dream.
its weird, but if it works and leaves me rested, i'll do any odd thing!:chimp:

I'm right there w/ my share of wedding nightmares.
I had one recently where I realized on the morning of the wedding that I forgot to schedule my hair/make-up, which isn't the end of the world.. and then I put on my beautiful dress and it's missing the mid-section - like the entire torso of the dress is gone! - and the boutique tells me they had a "higher bid" for just the mid-section of my dress so they decided to sell it!

I recall reading somewhere not too long ago that a person is more likely to have nightmares if their body temperature rises during sleep. I don't remember where I read it, so it could totally be bogus.. :snide:

Interesting about the temperature. Wonder if it is true?

I have wedding nightmares too. The last one I was running really late and was supposed to get my hair done at 8am. But I couldn't find a ride to the salon and ended up having to ride a big wheel in the rain. LOL Most of the nightmares include being late or forgetting really important things. My FH even says he has wedding dreams too.

I had so many crazy dreams about ex-boyfriends when I was engaged! The worst was this dream I had about my first boyfriend showing up in a tux, pushing DH out of the way, and kissing me! Then, my first boyfriend tells DH that he's my husband now, and drags me away while I'm screaming for help and DH is looking utterly hurt and confused.

I always felt like I had cheated on DH when I woke up, but dreams really don't mean anything at all. We're happily married now!

I had a lot of those dreams when I was planning my wedding. Weddings can be very stressful. That's why I hired a wedding coordinator. I have many references and great tips to give. Just let me know if you have any questions! Best wishes!
