my moms exhusband(well, he raised me) has decided that he and his family are going to help pay for and make over half of our budget/items.....

so our wedding has been moved to my hometown in florida!
my MOH will not be able to attend, but she is going to hold a reception for our friends here when they finish closing on their house...but it has allowed for my very BFFE to be my MOH, and with my family helping so much, it is allowing for me to have a florist, dj and also is going to allow us to pay for my BFFE and her 2 children to come, as she is my BFFE(hehe), and she is practically a lil sis to FH and her kids are just as much family as anyone ya know?!

albeit, my reception location is one that i would not have chosen, but since it is free(it's the foreign legion hall), it's $500+ back into our pockets, and rather than buy a random gown online, i get my dream "Maggie" gown! i am now seeing how making a couple decisions/compromises that you didnt want to make, allow for soooooo many other things to fall into place!!!

so now, i'm a "destination" bride!!!!! i did choose my ceremony locale, it is being held at an outdoor garden supplier, and it sounds strange, but ceremony is in the greenhouse, and we can set up for FREE during bizz hours, and can use any and even all of their flowers/greenery, as long as we put it back, and it's only $50/hr that we are there after the gardens close!!!!! which is a bonus, so i can have that 'rose' walk by using their pre-potted rose 'trees', so aside from the 3 hours we'll use it for ceremony and clean up, all i have to do is rent my chairs.....everything else, including the archway(which is marble!) is already there!!!!! at no added costs ;)

Congrats. That's so great that you're getting your dream dress and the garden center location sounds like a wonderful idea. So many pretty flowers and such available to you. Which Maggie gown do you want?

i was worried you'd see my baby pooch, but it's high enough in the back, that i can by a small nylon zippered corset, and it won't show through...and it's as close as i could get to "back in the day" in my own tastes

Wow, I really like that dress! It's very pretty. And it's nice to hear that somebody else's plans are being chaneged for the better! That doesn't happen often :)

Congrats!
