I've been on Spring Break all week and have had lots of time to get things done, so I thought I'd share the 2 projects I've been working on :)

Our Programs
We kept things very simple-

And the back (left off the songs that we are using because we couldn't make a decision but I wanted to get these done while I had time!)-

And our bubbles (half have black ribbon and half have pink ribbon)-

Thanks:happy:

I first designed them in Photoshop. The flower and the circle that I used on the back are from designerdigitals.com which I love! I've used their site for a bunch of things that I've made for the wedding.

After I was happy with the design, I just printed them out on normal cardstock and cut them all out individually. I decided that the sticks would look better if they were black, so I spraypainted all of those. After they were all cut out, I rounded the corners with a corner punch, and then used Elmer's spray glue to put them all together (which was a mess by the way). Then I just added a little ribbon on the stick :)

We honestly didn't even really need programs, but I thought they would be nice for our guests if it is really hot out that day-- then they can cool off with them!

Very nice! I also want to do programs on a fan. I may have to "steal" the spray painting idea; I bought regular popsicle sticks.

my mammaw asked about this, as even though it's october and hurricane season, it's still a good possibility of a hot day.....

so i was wondering, what did you make them on? what is the paper?

i thought about making mine, 5x7.....

I really liked the idea of the fans and this gives me an idea about making the fans in a flower shape and the color using the color of the wedding theme.

I uploaded pictures of the semi-done invitations awhile back, but I thought I'd show you the final product! These were sent out on Friday. It felt so great to finally get them out because they've been done since September.

And these are the table numbers that FH and I just made. We just cut wood into 3 inch square blocks, bought a dowel (the round stick), and black spray paint, and assembled 20 of these for only $8 dollars. They are double sided.

I was just wondering how in the heck you made those invitations? I am looking for something exactly like that but I cannot find then cheeper then 300 dollars. Did you use a program for the writing? Also, did you buy the portfolios?

The invitations took me FOREVER!! It was a lot of trial and error and I almost gave up a couple of times.

I bought the pre-made pocketfolds from http://www.lcipaper.com/specialty/minifolders.shtml . They are really great quality.

I used Photoshop CS3 to design everything else. I bought the swirly designs from www.designerdigitals.com -- They were all separate designs, and I just played around with them until I found a design that I was happy with. That site is great! I've used it for a ton of different things that I've done for the wedding. You can buy "brushes" for like 2 or 3 dollars, and then download them and use them in photoshop.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

I missed your second page posts... Those invites and table numbers are awesome. I might have to steal your table number holder idea, since I have been looking for inexpensive ones, and it seems so much better to make them.

We were looking for inexpensive table numbers as well, and we weren't having any luck, so we just decided to make them. It only took a few hours!

If you decide to do them-- you should definitely sand them! We used a sander to round the corners and make everything smooth and they came out really nice. We used wood glue to glue the dowel into the hole in the base, and we also used a little bit of wood glue to keep the actual table number in the slot.

Here is a picture of some picture frames that I made for my girls. FH and I made them completely from scratch! We started with just a block of wood. I'm going to put a temporary picture and the glass in there before I give them to them, but I'm thinking they will probably put a picture from the wedding in there!!

Very nice DIY's! I am very impressed! Great job :D

Though I do have a question; on your invites you mentioned that guests can upload photos. Did you use a special website or program for that? Cause I think it is a great idea!

FH has his own website, and he is working on coming up with a way for people to upload pictures to his website. I honestly have no idea how he does it! He's really good at those types of things, so I just sit back and wait for him to be done :)

I think you could create some type of flickr site and have a general password that you could give to your guests. Then they could all upload to the same site. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
