Now I Understand Why.

DH is as deaf as a post.
The TV has to be blaring to the point it rebounds off the wall and comes into the room twice. :bbeek:
He never hears a word i say. Or maybe that's just Him ignoring My nagging LOL.
He insists on standing right next to the speakers at live Gigs whenever We go to see a Rock Band.

But now the penny has dropped.

We have road works right next to the House at the moment. It has been going on for months up and down the street. Last week a Water Pipe burst, it lifted the road, sending water everywhere. (Hey the Car got a wash lol) So from Yesterday the road outside has been closed while they dig it up and re-lay the Tarmac. The Water pipe was fixed but they bodged the road up. :whyme:

So now at 8.30 AM i'm sat here with Diggers, Dumpers, Men shouting and general mayhem right at the side of the House. The House is shaking. The Cat is a nervous wreck and the noise is so loud My Ribs are shaking inside.

Now i fully understand why DH is as deaf as a post. Poor Sod works with this racket each and every day for upto 16 Hours a day.

I'm going out to the car to get some ear-muffs. My ears are starting to bleed :rofl:

Don't they tell workers to wear ear plugs around loud equipment and such? I guess he doesn't?

When my dad used to use his tools in the garage, he'd wear those giant earmuff sound blocker things (and make me wear them too), but you can still hear a lot of the noise through it.

I just get pissed off with they blow leaves around my apartment at 7:30 am. To heck with that! I'd be in a hotel!
