If you could choose, what type of bridal shower would you prefer?

We didn't really have a shower, but I think I would have liked a nice party type couples shower with our friends and/or family.

I envision....friends and family in the afternoon...gossiping an laughing and getting to know each other...talking about good times...revealing old memories...and eating sandwiches...and drinking cocktails....good times...oh and giving me presents...

I agree with Amber's answer, maybe no so much the "getting to know each other, which would be very nice, but more so "friends and family in the afternoon...gossiping an laughing" drinking cocktails" and definitely "giving me presents"...lol!!!

I had a huge bridal shower. I think like 60+ people were there. It was really was a really nice afternoon lunch deal in a hotel conference room. We had a blast and I got LOTS of presents.

I would prefer a lunch with friends. Just hanging out, having a good time, having a few drinks...

Mine was at 2P on 6/17 we had finger foods, cake and punch and lots of family and friends...it wasn't a "Bridal Shower" (just for me) it was more a "Wedding Shower" for both of us and we got household stuff.

It was hard for me to decide what I wanted when my sister asked me about this. I said that I didn't want a big uptight snooty party. I just wanted a small little get together that everyone can have fun at. I think my sister hit the nail on the head with her plans so far (I can't wait to go to it on August 5th). We are doing a Mexican Fiesta theme with chips and salsa on every table, a taco bar for lunch, margaritas & Corona to drink, and a pinata and awesome mexican invites. Shes going to decorate the room with chili pepper lights and mexican plates and such. She has a ton of stuff because her kitchen is decorated like that, but it should be a great time...and shes thinking of carrying the theme over to the bachelorette party....with huge sombraros.

I just want a get together with lots of family and friends. We are probably going to have a cake, punch, and maybe some finger type foods and lots of presents with my name on it!
