I now have a "proposal" story :D

So when we first decided to get married and set a date, FH never really "proposed"

He gave me $ for a ring and had me pick it out (which is good b/c i have very specific tastes LOL) but once i got the ring... i expected him to welll.... ask me... and he just kinda said "well now you have a ring to wear so wear it" LOL which is typical of FH n was fine but sorta disappointing... and i sorta kept it inside for awhile how much it bothered me that he never really asked me

so it finally got the best of me and i told him how I felt and how i had been dreaming of being proposed to since i was a little girl and it really was the most important part of the whole wedding process to me. Anywhoo well 2 weekends ago I finally got my proposal! :D

It was typical FH style and I LOVED it.

Since he couldn't get my ring back w/o me knowing he substituted it.

FH n i don't live together right now so I was visiting for the weekend. Sunday before I left to drive home he said he had a surprise for me. He made me close my eyes n walked me into the hallway where our closet is.
FH then pulled out a watch box n handed it to me and told me to open it. Inside the watch box was a ring pop (lol) w/a note attached:
Here lies a ring
to match the love and
sweetness of your personality.
A jem beyond other jems
Will you marry me again?
Love,
FH

Made me cry so bad!

but then i got mad b/c i had to drive 6 hrs back to my apt right afterwards :irked:

i totally forgot to share this story until i finally finished unpacking tonight and found the note which i will save and scanned into my comp so i can have it forever :innocent:

My proposal also came after our engagement. Like you the ending wasn't what I expected. He asked, I cried and said absolutely and then ... he ran to throw up! lol Food poisoning from left over thanksgiving turkey.haha

lol he actually put a "spare" in my purse w/a note "here's a reminder of my love, FH" and that one was in the bag still so i ate it LOLOLOL

he actually wrapped the pop part in seran wrap so it wouldn't go bad n sticky then when i saw him at my parents house for easter he said "why aren't you wearing your ring???" i looked down thinking i had lost my actual ring n then realized what he was talking about... so next time i see him i will be sure to wear my "engagement ring" lol
