This isn't technically etiquette, so I'm putting it here, but if it should be in the etiquette section feel free to move it, mods!

Anyway, I'm working on our programs, doing the list of the wedding party. Our musicians are a married couple, John and Jane Doe, and they call themselves/their company/whatever, Doe Music. I don't know how to list them in the program, so here's what I'm debating between and my problems with each:

Doe Music, John and Jane Doe -- leaning toward this one, but don't know if it's too repetitive, and I have everyone else listed in the program with some sort of title, and it seems weird to just have their names

Mr. & Mrs. John Doe -- doesn't tell Jane's name or make it clear that they're not some random friends of ours or something

John & Jane Doe of Doe Music -- same problem of no Mr/Mrs and also makes it seem like Doe Music is some big thing that they're just a small sampling of, even though Doe Music is just John and Jane

or

Doe Music -- but that doesn't list their names at all, obviously

Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated!

ETA, or, should I do Mr. John & Mrs. Jane Doe ?

Doe Music - Jane and John Doe. Whether or not they are married is irrelevant in professional contexts - they are primarily musicians here, it does not professionally matter if they are married or siblings.

A lot of bands that I've run into go by names that are not reflective of the names of the members, clarifying their names is probably best, if you are going to at all. If Jane Doe has some professional music connections outside of Doe music, you've written her out of the group by saying Mr. and Mrs. John Doe since I'd be willing to bet she's not Mrs. John Doe as a soloist.

I agree with you that Jane and John Doe of Doe Music misrepresents the group.

Why not "Doe Music, Mr. John and Mrs. Jane Doe"?

Then you have titles and names of both people.

But i really think Doe Music, John and Jane Doe is sufficient.

I would go with:

Doe Music
John Doe - instrument/vocal
Jane Doe - instrument/vocal
