Hello DIY-ers.
I am still designing my invitations and I know that I want to attach a ribbon somehow, my only question is: How do I attach the ribbon?
Do I just wrap it around the invite and then tie a bow at the front? Or do I need to glue it down? If so, should I use a glue gun?
I'm so confused about the ribbon... AHHH the ribbon!!! :icon_barbar:It is gonna be the death of me for sure!!!

Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

I'm using 2 glue dots to hold the ribbon in place...here's my thread about them. You can see the ribbon on the first 2 pics. Hope this helps!

Thank you. I love your invites. You did a great job.
I will have to use your tip because I tried my tape runner and it wasn't holding good enough.

Aww, thanks! You could also use tacky tape...I haven't used any, but I've heard it works quite well!

I did not make my invites but they did have ribbon on them. It was not really attached in any way other than tied around the invite. I did not have any issues with it staying in place.

This is the method we were going to use, but ended up not DIY'ing our invites.

are you talking about the ribbon that comes with the DIY invites that have the two holes?
Like these?

If so:
place the two (however many) sheets together and line up the holes.

hold the ribbon over and thread each end through a hole from the TOP, so that there is a mini-band like thing in the front and the ends are pointing out the back

Flip invite over

Make sure each end of ribbon on the back of the invite are even in length.

Thread each end into the OPPOSITE hole

Now either tie a bow if long enough or cut ends to equal lengths.

Great! Thanks for all the help. I think all this advice will make it much easier!! I'll post pics when I actually complete them.

Thanks again!!
