Everywhere I look is so expensive....
I mean they aren't a neccesity, but it is on my "I want" list :)

Did you try posting on kijiji or searching through e-bay? Perhaps another bride who made her own or bought would be selling?
Good luck - let us know what you find!

ok so i typed in
$1.00 chair covers
and i got this reply off a forum on partypop(i'm not advertising, it's just a reference!)
www.puredymondsevents.com (http://www.puredymondsevents.com)
a woman was renting them for $1 each, but said she no longer rented, only sold wholesale, so she was referring ladies to this woman, with the quote "tell her callie sent you"...maybe it'll help!
now i'm interested, but idk if i'll need chairs with my venue yet!
ok this woman at the above link, rents covers and sashes $1/pp.....sashes are all colors, but chair covers for $1 are only ivory or white.....

Awesome.
I also find a place that rents chair covers for 1.70 a peice and it includes the sash. I'm still thinking about it but its nice to know it just might be in my budget now after all. :)
thank you!

Can I ask where this place is? Is it online, or local? I'm in the same boat as you--- I don't need chair covers, but I really really want them! Every place I have looked has been $2.50 or more, and that's just too much for us. $1.70 seems do-able!

Myself and Deanna ordered through http://www.qualitychaircovers.com/
I got some samples in the mail, and its really good quality. Oh, check Ebay as well. They sometimes have vendors on there selling chair covers for a really good price. If I hadn't been looking for a specific color, I would have gone that route.

hey,
it was through http://www.chaircoverdirect.com/
I haven't used them yet, so I can't vouch for how good they would be.
the chair bows/sashes are included in this price too. Shipping is seperate. I got a price quote of 93 dollars for shipping each way...

ok you mean $93 including covers, deposit and shipping, for a total of $186, or is that just shipping?
my venue has 20 off white folding chairs, which means i only need to rent 20 or so....kindly making my bidget for chair covers maybe a little closer to possible.....but then, i started thinking this....
look at it this way, ok
50 chair covers @ $1.50=$75
50 sashes @ $1.00=$50
buuuuut
50 white poly-resin folding chairs @ $2.50=$125
see where my budget is going lol?
if i can get those chairs in white, and only decorate the ones that would line my aisle, i'd only need about 6-8 sashes....so say $3.00/sash is $24 at most(and a gross overestimate!) means for $150 i spend $25 nore, and have 1/3 of the work :chimp:

OMG! that's just WAY too much! i'd rent white chairs, and just get sashes!
since we're getting married in florida at the nursery, i'm getting white chairs, and using white iceicle xmas lights, to lace through the inside chairs, to create the aisle! our ceremony is sunset-style, so i think the lights will be neat lol

Try out Henderson Wedding Rentals. They rent out chair covers for 1.50 a piece and sashes for 0.50 a piece. The've also got shipping deals setup through Fedex and USPS so their shipping is a lot less compared to other rental companies. They have an online quote system you can try out and see how much it runs total.

The cheapest place I found to buy them is LinenTableCloth.com. Their satin ones are currently $2.51 each, with free shipping if you buy at least $50 worth. (The listed price is $2.79 each, but they apply a 10% discount at check-out.) At that, I figured I would just buy them and resell after my wedding.

The problem is that unless you need at least 120 chair covers, the price of disposables is higher than that for nondisposable ones. And even if you want that many, Divine Disposables charges for shipping, which LinenTableCloth.com does not for orders over $50, so you're not likely to save much, if anything.
