I'm asking here because I can look all over the internet and get a million responses. Here, at least I can get experienced responses and know that :innocent:

How soon after concept did/does morning sickness start? Is there a rule of thumb for it?

For me it started around 5 weeks. If I'm right the adverage time frame with morning sickness starts is about 5-6 weeks.

I was around 6 weeks with my first pregnancy. And it continued til I had him 22 weeks later. It was horrible. (BTW, I'm not bad at math, my son was born 12 weeks premature.)

Cool!

I've only been pregnant once and I didn't get sick then. I was kinda worried that if I have another I might not be so lucky. Now I know there is hope!

I was never sick a day with either pregnancy either BUT my friend was sick throughout both of hers. No joke, it started at two weeks and continued right through till the end (poor girl!).

Wow I hope your son is doing good now!!

I was lucky never had morning sickness!!! guess it just depends on what kinda stomach each person has...i have tough stomach so I fight throwing up...and only time i have issues with it is when I take heavy pain pills...I had migranes really bad though...Good luck with it though

But this varies soooooo much from woman to woman. I started feeling sick in the morning almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant and it continued until I started my second trimester. Not every morning, but many mornings... It would be bad until I could get my mind off it (usually by starting my work day, or choking down some toast and crackers). It was better if I ate something right before I went to sleep at night (a good carb. midnight snack!) And it just cut off one day and I was fine....

Hope you don't experience it, some women don't! :bbeek:

Oh I'm not preggers - I'm just doing some research as I plan to start trying soon :whoohoo:

I have a very strong stomach, and I kinda toot my own horn when I say I don't think I'll get it. But I can't say that because it'll be my luck that I will get it LOL! :D Thank you all for your input!!!

I'm not sure if it was my stomach even though I was constantly puking. It was more of my head.... Opening my eyes and seeing the room move and having no control over it and falling over due to dizzy spells ugh! Or how about the smell of fried food???

My cousin in law never got sick for a day! I'm jealous!

Oh I wish that would help you, but if you're going to get it, it won't. I'm a nurse with a really strong stomach (clean up diarrhea, vomit and blood and pus every day plus slimey sputum and other gross secretions without flinching) and I started getting morning sickness with daily vomiting at about 5.5 weeks and continued until 16 weeks.

Seriously though, it varies from woman to woman. Some women have hyperemesis the entire pregnancy and others get none at all. My sister is 17 weeks pregnant and has had no morning sickness at all- lucky girl!

I wish you the best of luck with your TTC endeavors!

Each woman is different and each pregnancy is different. It is possible that you'll get nauseous and actually getting sick all day.
