If my wedding is August 2007 when should I start plannning, is it too early to start?

I dont think so. I think Lacey planned hers for 15 months. There are a couple of other ladies that have over a year or had over a year to plan theirs.

I WISH I had that long to plan mine he proposed on 4/22/06 and we set the date of 7/29/06 on 4/23/06 LOL

I've been engaged since December 2003 and I've been planning ever since. Its never to early to start looking at things and getting ideas and putting together what you like and don't like. For August 2007, I would definitely say to start looking at venues and vendors next month. We switched out date to September '06 in October '05 and we had a hell of a time finding vendors that were still available for our date.

I agree...it is NEVER too early to start palnning, because you will change your mind on stuff, you will find vendors that are already booked...seriously girl plan, plan, and plan away!!!

My wedding is in December and I started planning in January. If I were you I would start looking for a venue because you want to have a choice and some places book a year in advance. Photographers book fast as well. I would say start looking for one probably around September/October. Start browsing on-line and in magazines and make a scrap book of things you like. I wish I would have done that before I jumped into this.

I planned for 15 months and still could have used a few more. Trust me if you want an elaborate wedding you want to start to plan as ealy as possible.

I agree with everyone that it is never to early to start planning and getting ideas together, I went to book a place for my reception 18 months in advanced and it was already booked for that weekend :bbeek:, so get into it I say ;).
