I am very scared and hoping that someone here can help me. I am 5 weeks 4 days pregnant. I was experiencing cramping and went to dr for blood test and ultrasound. My hcg level was around 8000 but the ultrasound did not show a baby, just the gestational sack and yolk. The technician said that I must be barely 5 weeks and didn't seem too concerned. However, two hours later my doctors assistant calls and said that they wanted to see me tomorrow for another blood test. She didn't tell me much else except that they expected to see the baby in ultrasound. Should I be worried?

I honestly don't know - I just wanted to wish you luck! I hope everything is just fine and you can breathe a sigh of relief after your visit tomorrow.

I hope everything is okay. I think if something was seriously wrong they would have made you come in immediately. I hope everything turns out great. Good luck. Keep updates.!

I hope so. In just the week since I found out about this baby, I have gotten so ahead of myself. I am looking at baby things and thinking of what it will look like. I'm crazy I suppose to be so ahead of myself.

I've never been prego before so I don't really have any advice to help calm you, but I'm sure everything will be fine.

I can related to being nervous and expecting the worse, however, that's just preparing yourself in case that happens. I'm sure it's fine. When my mom was pregnant with my little sister she didn't feel her move until she was almost 6-7 months along. Each pregnancy is different and this is just a little bump in your adventure.

I also have no direct knowledge or advice either. But I wanted to wish you luck and I am hoping everything works out for you!

my own experience was that your hcg level will show in the blood work first, that is why they like to wait until you are further along to do an ultrasound

I hope everything is ok

Glad your numbers are still showing OK! GL with the U/S on Monday.
You asked earlier about cramping. Cramping is normal in early pregnancy. You should only need to worry if it starts getting really back and is accompanied by bleeding!

Congrats to hear that things are going well. Usually the blah feelings where things aren't right tend to be "growing pains"....they get worse trust me!!! But its all worth it in the end. And if you ever feel in doubt call your dr, they are used to us silly first time mommy's. And when in doubt ask on here...lots of us have been there before!! Good luck and congrats!! Very exciting!!!

it's really a good feeling to hear the heartbeat of your baby on your tummy... I remember the days when I hear the heartbeat of my baby too... :)

I hope everything runs smoothly.. take good care of yourself dear.
