I'm going to say mostly silk because all of our centerpieces will be silk...the only thing fresh are the bouquets and bouts.

Everything was fresh flowers. Silks are ok if they are your thing. But I don't like them. They were expensive but I wasn't compromising on having the types of real flowers that I wanted. Let's just say Sean is very happy that I didn't do with one of the original plans and have everything stephanotis and dendrobium orchids.

I chose silk roses, in Kentucky in July roses are in season and OMG the price!
I am however having real miniature rose bushes (wrapped in white/black or red papers as centerpieces at the cake and punch reception at the church...MY FMIL wanted all the girls in the wedding and the mothers to have a bush to take home and plant as a keepsake and reminder of our ever growing love...AWWWWWWWWWWWW

I am having mostly real flowers. All of the bouquets and the boutineres and the corsages will be real. There will be a very large center piece on the head table that will be real. At the beginning of the aisle there will be two columns with an arrangement on each. Depending on what the florist says when we find one we will see what other flowers we will have.
The center pieces on the guest table are candles wrapped around greenery. The greenery will be fresh. We are going to cut them out of the yard that day.

The only silk flowers we had in our wedding was on our arch. Other than that we had nothing but REAL flowers, as I don't care for silk flowers.

I defiantely like real flowers over silk ones, but the cost is what is the determining factor for most people. I am pretty lucky that my mother is willing to pay for the amount of fresh flowers we are going to have.

OK not sure how to vote on this question. My flowers at the reception were fake. And the bouquets were going to be fake but my mom and her husband ended up paying for them for me and got all real ones. So as those were totoaly beautiful I was going to go the other way. But I loved my flowers and wouldnt have changed them one bit. So I had both so not sure how to vote.

We are going to have all silk flowers except for the flower girls and they will have real only because we are getting married outside and i dont want to have to clean up the mess of the flower petals afterwards. Silk flowers may not have the smell but they also dont have the cost either. I bought all of my flowers on clearance at a place going out of bussiness for 90% and saved a total of $180 on them. I was so releaved.

My site is outside, and has a rose garden and fountain, so no need for flowers there, and the reception hall handles all the decorations, so getting fresh flowers for the wedding party & parents. Roses & Stephanotis

I used real flowers for the bouquets, corsages, and bouteniers, and then used fake flowers for the decorations. But I didn't have A TON of flower decorations, so I think it was about even...

Mine flowers are mostly 50-50. We are using real flowers for the bouquets and arrangements in the church. The Bouts and centerpieces are all silk flowers.

I think we'll be having all real flowers...I mentioned to my mom the idea of having silk flowers on the centerpieces and she vetoed that one...she has a relationship with a florist in town, so hopefully we can get a deal on those :)

I just got my price quote from the florist and for what we were thinking we are going to come out around $800-$850. All of the info is in my journal if anyone is interested.

We're having all real flowers for the decorations. :)
My bouquets are beaded, not floral though.

We did all silks. The day of my wedding was over 90 degrees and I didn't want my flowers drooping! Besides I wanted to keep them exactly like they were that day. :)

I say real, but then again I'm not really using flowers. I've got flowers in the bouquets, etc, but none in centerpieces or decoration. That's all fake fall leaves, so I guess I'm a half & half person.

I dont know on this one... I'll be using real flowers for my altar arrangement, bouquets, and bouts. I'll be using silk flowers for decorations because real flowers can get too expensive to work with and you have to work quickly... So I dont know which one will weigh out more...

I had initially said silk but now my FMIL and my mother have been to the florists and to the nursery and I am having real ivy, real roses, real rose bushes and real ferns and several other leafy things I have no idea what they are but they are PRETTY! Looks like the only silk things are the bouqets, bout's, corsages and a few of the garlands used in the arches and candleabras!

We did silks (except for the bouts). Silk is my style and my bouquet still looks as beautiful as it did on our wedding day.
