Who is paying for your wedding?

Just curious to see who is paying for our weddings.

My dad gave us $6000 and my FIL chipped in the rest! Bless his heart, I couldn't imagine swallowing that bill! lol

With the exception of my dress and the band, Sean and I paid for everything. It wasn't pleasant at times but I was gauranteed to get everything that I wanted exactly how I wanted it without having to listen anyone's opinions about it.

My parents are paying for the bulk of everything except Justin's parents are paying for the rehearsal. Justin is paying for the honeymoon. Justin is also paying for my bouquet. We are having are pretty traditional with who is paying for what.

As you all know my mom is footing the majority of the bill...she is so great! Jason and I are paying for things like the DJ, Officianct and other odds and ends....

My parents are paying for everything...we are helping out a little bit with the small stuff, but its mainly being paid for by my parents.

My mom told me she would pay $2000. And that is what I am staying under. There are a couple odds and ends I have picked up along the way.

My parents are paying for the reception and dad bought my dress, Eric's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner and hosted the Wedding Shower...we are paying for the rest.

Ooops gotta add that Eric's parents are also paying for the live band at the reception!

Me and Brian are paying for everything ourselves. Parents can't really afford anything hence the long engagement.

Chair rentals
50/50 of venue rental
my jewelry, and shoes
hair and makeup

We are paying for everything!!! That is why we were engaged for 20 months and also why I feel like I am going crazy!!!

We're paying for everything. We're really lucky in that we've managed to tuck some money away and we're going to use a portion of that to pay for the wedding. That said, we're not going crazy spending money like water either. We picked a few things that were really important to us like the meal and the photographer and budgeted for that.

Oh, and I should say that my FMIL has been buying bits and bobs for favors and things and won't tell me how much so that I can pay her back. But she's having fun so I won't fuss. I'm just going find some nice way to say thanks. :)

My parents paid for the reception and RD, ILs paid for the flowers, and we took care of everything else.

We're paying for 95% of the stuff. His mom is paying the rest of the reception. Like a couple other girls have mentioned this has been one of the factors in our long (3.5 years) engagement.

Jamies parents tried giving us money towards the reception and so far they are listening when we say thanx but no thanx, id rather them use to money to go hols themselves or summat. Ive always been independant and am not used to other people paying out for things which i want myself. xxx
