I am sure we have talked about this before, but it has been a while so ...

What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who are your top 5 favorite artists/bands?

Me; I like mostly rock, alternative and metal ... sometimes I am in a more mellow mood, sometimes I like the more powerful stuff :band:

I don't know if this is really a top 5, but here are 5 bands I like a lot; in random order:

Sevendust
Disturbed
Green Day
Seether
Stone Sour

I'm a country/Christian music girl, but I love me some Nickelback, Creed, and similar bands once in awhile :)

I don't have favorites... it all depends on the mood I'm in. If I had to go with 5....

Taylor Swift (amazingly... )
Montgomery Gentry
Nickelback
Steven Curtis Chapman
Point of Grace

Totally random list of faves... there are many many more :D .

I was blasting My entire Nickelback collection yesterday while wallpapering My Dollshouse. Getting ready for their live gig in May. :winktongue:

I listen to a lot of Rock Music and realised that all My "Main" Bands are from different countries too.

AC/DC, Australia.
Iron Maiden, England.
Nickelback, Canada.
The Offspring, America.

So You could say i go Global lol.

I went into town with DH on Saturday and was stopped by a lady in the shop who said i don't look like a "Typical" AC/DC Fan. (I was wearing My AC/DC Beanie Hat having a bad-hair-day lol)

I want to know what a "Typical" AC/DC Fan looks like.
Turned out She was into Iron Maiden.
She was dead jealous when i said i'd met all of AC/DC when i took part in their Video. And met Steve Harris from Iron Maiden in town.

She didn't realise Steve Harris lives local and comes into town regular. (Calls Herself a Fan LOL)
So i reckon She's now on the lookout for Him to walk past Her shop.

I'm a classic rock girl.

I love the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Kinks, Rush, Black Sabbath. There's 5 but I can keep going.

More recent bands that I really like are Jet, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins...

I like a lot of stuff, mostly rock or electronic. Hard to stick to five, but here goes:

Nine Inch Nails (more recent stuff the best, but I think that reflects my age)
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Ladytron
Rammstein

BUT I listen to a lot of other stuff, lighter stuff too. I love Natalie Merchant, Sarah MacLaughlin, Smashing Pumpkins, Offspring (yes, Mitch, just yes), Russian pop, Russian rap (seriously), Alanis Morisette, Enya, Enigma etc....

Armin Van Buuren
Muse

So a mix of classics, alternative, and techno :)

I'm sort of a weird one with this. I'm definitely a rock person - but I think I got stuck in the early 90's. We were talking about that new Pearl Jam Ten rerelease in that other thread - and I can honestly say that's the most excited I've been about an album in a long time.
Favorite band is definitely Smashing Pumpkins, but, despite getting back together, mostly the older stuff.
I want to like newer music but rarely anything really grabs me like it used to. Every so often there'll be that song that I really like, but then I buy the CD (yes, CD, no MP3s for Gwen) and the rest is garbage.
I also like girly rock stuff - Ani Difranco (again, older stuff) but I really like the newer Sheryl Crow stuff, which is really not in line with other stuff I like but I really like her last album. I wish there were more girl bands that were cool.

We rarely listen to one band or another ... but tonight we had guests. DH played the Stones .... maybe he was being nostalgic ... maybe he just hit the Itunes play button but it was fun :)
