How are you going to wear your hair for your wedding?
All up, all down, or half up and half down? Or don't know yet.

I am probably going to go with a half updo. Something where some of the hair is swept up and back, but with most of it down...and curls!!!!

I wore all of mine up. I have really fine hair so there is no way I could have worn it all down and had it look half decent.

I am going all up with my tiara and veil attached at the bottom of the poof! I have a pic in my journal...Eric thinks my neck is sexy:bbredface: the MINUTE he said that I was ALL about putting it up!

Mine was all up too! :) I was thinking it was going to be hot and I didn't want to sweat, then it was a cool day and I was cold!! lol Damn eh?!

I am going to wear my hair up. I have really long and thick hair that I have been growing out since I was a Junior in High school. When I started out, it was only about one inch long! I spiked it in the back and wore it down in the front. Anyways, I was hoping to wear my hair down, but with the wedding being outside and considering that I take after my dad and sweat a lot, I am going to wear it up.

Mine will be a half updo. I have this complex about my ears, so they have to be covered for the most part, but the rest I want up.

I am thinking about half up/half down, that way I will get a little bit of both. If I decide on any other style it would be all up.

My hair is very long and very thick. Even when its snowing outside, I get hot from having my hair down. Plus as the night goes on and I sweat, I dont want to be constantly brushing my hair out of the way... So I'm going to say all up!!!

Up. Being married in the middle of July in Indiana, wearing it any other way would have been a recipe for disaster :bblol:

My wedding is only 15 days away, and I still have No idea!! about how I am doing my hair. Definitely some of it will be up. For two reasons. One, I am getting married in the afternoon of an August day in a temple with no air conditioning!
and two, because my hair is also very fine and has almost no body. If I leave it down, it will just hang there. Not pretty.
Luckily, I do have an apptmnt on Monday to meet with the stylist doing my hair and makeup, so we'll try some things out and see how it goes. Wish me luck!

I was going for kind of a funky twisty half up do, (I wish I still had the pic of what I wanted) but it didn't end like I had envisioned :(

I'm really not sure what to do. I really can't imagine an updo is going to take a 2-3 hour hike up a mountain very well. I was thinking about putting it in a pony tail on the way up and then letting it down when we get up there. My hair is wavy anyway so I don't think the pony tail will hurt it too much.

Update: went to the salon and decided on a really pretty updo. Its like a really loose bun/ponytail with curls. Also, I get to have some hair to frame my face. But, end result, my hair will be all up.

I'm gonna do a half up half down due. Kev loves my hair down, yet I want it up and fancy so I figured I would meet the 2 of them in the middle with a half and half.
This is the style that I really like but without the flowers...

Plus my tiara will stick right in there.

I am undecided for a couple of reasons. Originally I had wanted some if not all of it down and curly, however, My hair doesn't hold curl very well and I get hot easily and sweat a lot, so I don't want to have to worry about that. On the other hand, I don't really like my hair up. I will probably do half and half. I have time!!

I'm sure most of you saw a pic of my dress. It's a halter neckline. I was kind of thinking that a half up half down hair do would look best with it. Plus, I have a thing abot my ears to, they stick out a little. NOt sure yet though I have plenty of time to decide.

I'm so glad I left my hair down instead of putting it all up. With how I was going to wear it all up, it made me look like an old lady...this way it showed my age more...plus it will probably be the last picture of me with long hair for a long time! LOL!

for some reason my hair hold curls so well. I got my hair done at like 9am and by the time the wedding was over at like 6pm my hair was still CRAZY curly. And then i didn't shower and in the morning my hair was still SOOOO CURLY going to mexico. i think the hair stylist have some crazy holdin stuff they out in it.

these are my inspirations.. the thing is... i have for the most of my life had short chin length hair. After he proposed I just started growing it out... is this the normal bride thing?? I really want to have my hair longer so I can do something with it but myhair was always short like from Dharma & Gregg, Dharma style... ugh...

Those are both very pretty!! I have always had shoulder length hair as well but started growing it out when I started planning the wedding. A lot of people do, but on the other hand some people think it's silly b/c you should look like yourself when you get married. My opinion about that is that you don't wear a beautiful white dress everyday, so you shouldn't do your hair the same way you do every other day lol! But really it's a personal decision, I think. I want curly hair and half of it up, so I need longer hair. It's driving me insane, but I only have a little over a month left lol!

I'm doing something like this, but no tiara. Instead I'll have a silk headband in blush pink to match my dress, and I'll have my bangs. My hair should be long enough to pump up the volume and still have plenty of length, but if not I'll add some extensions to fill in the back.

Are you taking a vitamin? Multivitamins help with growing your hair, that's why women's hair grows so fast during pregnancy, it's the prenatal vitamins. I started taking a vitamin to help my hair grow right after we got engaged, and I gained three inches in a month, and my hair grows slow anyway.

Any ideas of how to make this work at home ? I want something simple, and natural looking.

Much to my mothers dismay i will be wearing my hair up.. im not sure how yet but my mom says "you have long hair that is beautiful, wear it down" But seriously i dont want to worry if my hair looks flat all night. i would rather have a load of spray andknow that i will love the pictures b/c it will look the same at the end of the night as when i first got it done thanks to the gallons of spray :)

I'm wearing mine down (I simply don't photograph well when it's up) - just haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet. May do some curls of some sort. Still trying to find a local hair stylist to do some trials with.

For right now I can't decide if I want it up or only half up. I have real curly hair so I think pretty ringlets with my hair only half up would be pretty. But I think it photographs I think it looks better all the way up. Plus my FH likes it better half up, he hates when I put it all the way up. So, needless to say I'm still undecided.
