One of the favors I am doing for my wedding is glass votives. My soon to be mother in law is doing something with jordan almonds because she insisted there be jordan almonds. So I am still taking on my votive idea, but I just ran into an issue. Because of restrictions at the reception location we can't do real candles, so we are doing the battery operated tea lights. No big deal to me, it might be easier to deal with since there are 150 of them. So my first thought was to get frosted glass votive holders this way you don't see the "fake" candle as much, and then we were going to take ribbon and the thank you charm and tie around the middle. But then ac moore had a great deal on votive holders this week, they were 5 for 1.00. Only problem was they only had clear glass ones, but for 30.00 I really couldn't pass up the deal. So now I am looking for ideas on how I might be able to fix them up so that the candle isn't as obvious. Any ideas will certainly help, I am lost lol. Thanks!

You could line the votives with vellum paper.

You could either get one with a design or print something on them yourself.

I also found a lovely post where there are instructions for making your own.

How about wrapping vellum around them? You could print your monogram on them if you have one. Or you could also use them as placecards and print each guests name on the vellum.

Thank you so much for the ideas, I don't think I would have ever thought of that, and they look really nice. Def something I will look into. Thanks again!
