I get logged out if I am inactive for a short time...seems like only 5 or 10 minutes. Is this the way the whole forum is set up, or do I need to change my settings? It's very aggrivating!!

I don't think the board is set up this way; I keep the board up for hours on end and never have any problems.
I am not sure if it is something in your board settings or your computer settings. I will see if there is something in the options on the board about this.

OK, I don't see anything in the board options about this :bbconfused:
Is anyone else having similar problems?
I only have these problems at home on my personal computer when using Mozilla Firefox. You may try clearing your cookies and adjusting the settings to accept certain cookies. That will clear the cache so that your logon and password doesn't time out.
I'm no computer tech, but that usually works for me. I just haven't had patience to do it on my computer at home as it's so dang'd slow. I'll give it a shot maybe this evening and let you know if it works for me.

I don't have this problem at all, I'm mostly logged on on my phone and I can leave it for hrs even the day and when I come back still logged on. I can even change to other sites and come back. Infact if I remember right when I logged in about a month ago I haven't had to relog in except when I log on another pc and come back. Hmmm hope you get it figured out

It does this to me if I don't check the "keep me logged in" box. Otherwise I stay logged in unless I clear my cookies.

I've spent 15 minutes before typing a LONG response and I am suddenly logged out :( I ALWAYS copy my long posts to Microsoft Word, re-log in, and then post. It's a PITA!!! :)
Some things to consider:
1: Do you check the "keep me logged in" box when you sign in?
2: Do you clear your cookies on a regular basis? It may be an automated feature on your computer.
3: Have you tried clearing your cookies lately? Your cache might be full.
4: Your cookie settings may only be set to allow so many cookies. You may need to adjust your cookie settings to allow OW cookies.
5: What browser are you using? I've used Mozilla & Internet Explorer and had positive and negative results on separate computers.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'll play around with it tomorrow.
