We are making a cd for the wedding ceremony. I don't care for organ music and I also don't want to pay an organist. So I am going to download and burn music to a cd.

I am thinking of having my bridesmaids/groomsmen walk down the aisle to Canon in D. My question is, do I just have them walk down and let the song finish or do we stop it once they get to their places? I just hate to stop a song right in the middle but don't want guests to get bored!

And then the song that I want to use for my processional is Con Te Partiro but I want to walk down when the music becomes more dramatic, which is about 1 minute into the song. Is there a way to edit mp3's?

Otherwise, I could maybe have the bridal party walk down during the beginning part, but I don't know if 1 minute is long enough to get 3 couples down the aisle. I don't want to miss my grand entrance. :)

I wondered the same thing, and ended up using 1 song (a celtic version of Canon in D) for ALL of us. It couldn't have been more PERFECT timing. If you do want to use 2 songs though, you could always fade it out instead of cutting it off, or having it play on and on. :)

There's free programs you can download to edit songs. You can fade songs in and out as needed.

what free programs do you have in mind? I plan on doing the same thing... have a burnt cd for ceremony music.

I've also burned a cd to be played at my wedding June 6th. I'm freaking out over the time involved. A small wedding, but we'll be going down a grand staircase. I was thinking of the Canon D, but it's too long (5 minutes?) and will fade it out if needed. BUT, I was also thinking of using the song by John Denver "Perhaps Love". I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about this song. My maid of honor thinks it's not appropriate because it sounds like a song about loss, where I think it's about love, and just an absolutely gorgeous song.

This is my first post and I'm actually hoping I get thru and if anyone wanted to reply that would be great.
