Thanks to Motherhood... my pregnancy has left my body..let's say... "uneven" lol

While i'm in the process of loosing weight.. it's happening slowly..but none the less happening... I still have a flabby look to me.. sooooo..

I was playing with the idea of getting something to help give me more of a smooth look vs a "rocky" look in the stomach area.

I've heard of a corsett (sp?) but i'm not sure that's the look i'm going for.. i want smooth... not hourglass. :)

I'm not even sure what's the name of the item i'm looking for...Any Suggestions or where to begin to look?

Thanks girls! :grinhappy:

Sounds like you want a body shaper. Check out Spanx - I haven't used them, but other people (and Oprah) swear by them!

You can find them at local stores, so you can try them on before buying them. Here is a link to their website to check out:

I was gonna say a body shaper too; I have not used them, but my sister has. I think she got one at Target.

I got this one to go with my dress, the woman at some fancy bra boutique my mom was shopping at recommended it. http://www.spanx.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2990103&cp=2992553.3010025&parentPage=family It does not make you smaller so it would not work for someone trying to fit into a to small dress but it is pretty good at just smoothing everything out. It is pretty comfortable, when I wore it during my dress fitting I could not even feel it.

The woman at the store told my mom that if you buy spanx always buy them a size smaller than they recommend. So mine is a size to small and still comfortable.

I have heard body shaper or "long-line bra".

I would HIGHLY recommend Spanx or I believe a similar product is called Assets (I think they carry these at David's Bridal). I use the Spanx all the time and LOVE them.

A long line bra. It's basically a strapless bra that covers the torso and has slight padding to give a smooth look.

spanx are just amazing. Another possibility depending on where you most need the help is body shaping pantyhose. They can be amazing and take care of those thigh bulges, too. :)

Here's hoping that they have a Spanx that you can wear like tights, but that goes right up under your bust, to help flatten your tummy. My rehearsal dress has spaghetti straps and it's really cute on me, but my still-fat tummy doesn't make it hang quite right from the empire-ish waist. I need my tummy to go IN, not OUT, for this dress to look right!

I'm seriously considering making myself a cheap, one-time-only corset for my stomach! Just so I can have a tummy that goes IN for my rehearsal dress :)
