I know someone on here must have made napkins and/or tables linens before. I couldn't find any napkins or runners in the colors I want so I'm making 125 napkins and 18 table runners. My question is, what do you think is the best/fastest way to get these done?
Has anyone ever used decorative edge scissors like these on fabric?

Would this work for my napkins or would they just fray? I'd love a shortcut, plus the wavy edge is kinda neat. Thoughts?

I have used decorative edge sissors on paper, but never on fabric. That being said, the sissors you have posted there are made by Fiskars and say that they are made for fabric. I have used Fiskars sissors for years in sewing and floral design, so I would say you are safe with those! As far as your fabric fraying- chances are that it will fray if you don't treat it somehow. If you don't want to sew, try Fray Check.

Fray Check is a liquid plastic that is used for sealing edges of hems and other projects. It is colorless and will dry clear, as well as withstanding dry cleanding and washing machines.
ETA - you can buy Fray Check anywhere that sells Fabric. Walmart, JoAnn's, etc.

hmm. fray check is something to consider. It's not that I don't want to sew, it's just that 125 if a lot of napkins so I'm looking for the fastest way to get 'er done while still looking nice. The fabric is a tight cotton.
I think making them is a great idea. If you're worried about fraying, consider the different types of material. You can kinda tell by looking at the different bolts in the fabric store what will fray easily and what will hold up.
I thought of making mine, but finally I actually bought white wash cloths at I think they were like 10 for $2.50 at KOHLS. I folded them on the tables - they worked out great. I don't know if they still have the deal going though.

If you use something like cotton that's natural you only have to cut two edges.

Hmm...the edges look neat, but I wouldn't chance it. Most fabrics that would be good for napkins will probably fray. I wouldn't do Fray Check either, because it might leave the edges kinda rough or stiff. I'd just do a regular hem. Or, they have hem tape, which might work. It might not last through the wash, but you don't have to wash them before the wedding!

that fray check stuff looks neat, but i would guess that fray-checking 125 napkins would be just as tedious and time consuming (and probably more messy) as hemming.
