Ok, so we got the plane and hotel booked...had a buy one get one free offer for airfare!!! We are going for 4 days and so far his brother and wife are going with us. So now I need simple ideas of where to do our wedding at...I am so not doing a elvis wedding but I want simple and beautiful. I know it'll be hard without Nicholas but this is why we are going to vegas. We still miss him terribly but at least he'll be there with us in spirit. SO what sites are good for vegas searching....I'm googling now!!!!

Are you still doing it in September or sooner?

Congrats either way :)

There are several Vegas brides here that I am sure could help!

The only site I have heard about, that I can remember at least, is www.vegasinthesun.com Though I don't know anyone that actually used the site.

That is the website I used to do my Vegas research. We went with Little chapel of the Flowers. They have a Magnolia Chapel which is very small and holds up to 20. Very tasteful and the staff was wonderful. They have their own florist and photographers.

I second Liz's suggestion of www.aboutvegasweddings.com (http://www.aboutvegasweddings.com) - my best friend and I used that last year to determine where she should have her spur of the moment wedding. She picked the Little Church of the West and was very happy with it. The website that we gave you is great because they have real reviews and they also give you the skinny on important things - like whether or not they allow your guests to take pictures and things like that.
There are a lot of chapels, but the one I've heard the best things about is Little Chapel of the Flowers. Glowing reviews.
Congrats to you and I applaud you for moving forward despite your recent tragedy. I'll be thinking about you! I actually head out to Vegas tomorrow for my wedding this coming Saturday! :) But, like I said in another thread, if you need any specific Vegas info feel free to PM me - I go allllll the time so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
All the best! :)

This is the direct link for Little Chapel of the Flowers they have views of all their chapels so you can get a better idea. Not pushing it but of all the strip wedding sites it was the least tacky looking from the outside as well as the inside. The hotel sites are amazing but when you are on a tight schedule like I was it worked out fine for us. My sister who is "very proper" stated that she was surprised how nice it looked in my video. LOL

That's a great price especially with the pictures and video. Looks great and your will be near a tram entrance which is a great way to get around Vegas.

Had to check vacation calenders for few people with work schedules but i'm really excited. Now I just gotta gind a simple dress

we used this company www.thelasvegasweddingcompany.com (http://www.thelasvegasweddingcompany.com)

We were married at the overlook of Lake Mead just outside of Vegas..had a great time!

Or here is another idea, http://www.lakemeadcruises.com/ this is where we had our recetopn, but they also do weddings on it just before the cruise.

Both companies were super nice to work with. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the help, I'm looking at one enought where I'm thinking we'll be putting down a deposit in the next couple weeks!! Its www.vegasadventureweddings.com (http://www.vegasadventureweddings.com) and its like package #6. Since there is only going to be like 6 of us this package will work out good and give me everything I want in it. Now I just need to do research before i give them the offical yes....I'm checking with BBB and vegas chamber of commerece to see if there is any complaints. Just to make sure we won't get scammed......I'm so excited, but also really sad because the most important person to FH and I won't be there in person. But no sad today I'll save it for tomorrow....I still have to find invites for the reception we're doing a few weeks after we get back

if you're trying to stay on a budget, be careful. alot of the chapels/hotels charge outrageously for pictures, and aren't always that good at them! also, a hotel/chapel we used for a friends wedding, didn't allow outside photography...and they wouldn't take the pictures my friend wanted, so for the fun group pix(like us hikin up our dresses and showin leg lol), the hotel refused, and everyone had to take them with their cell phones! and it sucked because another friend, whos had photography classes etc, was supposed to do it as a gift....man, if only i could figure out the name of the hotel.....i guess i could myspace her and ask lol....and the reason they gave us for pics, was that celebreties had been married there? like the one hilton sister, nikki? which to us, was like, ok wtf does that have to do with us?! it was like their "trademark" now! ugh, crazy horrible photos, and it cost them like 1500! the guy wouldn't state how much for certain pictures, he only offered packages, and it had to be certain number of poses(different poses), so she had to pick a bunch of stupid ones, in order to get the good ones she wanted! it's like, they would only include the nice ones, in the big packages(well, the traditional/posed pics)

We flew American. I placed my dress and RC's suit in a garment bag and brought it on as carry on luggage. The stewardess was very nice and made sure it didn't get mashed. They kinda figured out we were going out to get married. RC had gotten us first class tickets so I would have a good experience ( lots of frequent flyer miles were cashed in) so they kept us supplied with Mimosas and snacks.
