So today is Friday the 13th and made me wonder ... just for fun, are you a superstitious person?

*poll coming*

I am only a teensy bit. I do believe that someone can jinx something or someone. I believe that thinking positive brings a more likely positive outcome. Friday the 13th - I guess we're going to have to see how it pans out... but so far I have no reason to be superstitious.

Me; I don't have any issues with Friday the 13th, black cats, walking under ladders, broken mirrors or anything like that ... I guess I am not superstitious.

You know all day FH and I have run into one obstacle after another. We keep saying, "man, can we get a break!" It wasn't till now I just realized its fri the 13th! I'm not super superstitious but there are some things like I don't like ppl to sweep my feet or anything that happened when the steelers won must be that way the next time or if you watch it with me and the lose! Never again!

Nah, I'm not superstitious. I have a hard time believing in anything I can't see, save for Santa Claus of course. Ha.

Not at all. I do hate Friday the 13ths though.

I live in a neighbouring town to a town that hosts a large biker rally/party thing (http://www.pd13.com/ ) every Friday the 13th. So my town crawls with bikers and tourists and you can't get a hotel room in any town around here.

Here's a quote from the site:The June 2008 event was the most successful so far. The estimates say over 150,000 people and over 30,000 motorcycles visited Port Dover!

I am superstitious about a very few things, but Friday the 13th isn't one of them.

I voted 'depends'. I wont walk under a ladder, and FH and I both subscribe to the whole 'can't see each other 24 hours before the wedding' thing, but Friday the 13th doesn't bother me at all.

I've never really thought about it. Things happen for a reason and i don't think the date has any bearing on events.

It's not like there's a pot of bad luck and mayhem that's only going to strike today of all days. And even if it did i would eventually laugh about it.
But then again i'm the type of person who sees the brighter side in most situations.

Just gotta keep moving. Coz a moving target is harder to hit.

I voted "dpends". Today i Friday the 13th, and Summit was going CRAZY barking at the window, when I looked, there was a black cat! So I let her out to chase the darn thing away, it wasn't even afraid of her!

We have lived here for 8 years and have never seen this cat before. (Other cats in our neighborhood, yes, this one, NO)

I thought it was just odd.
