I met Joe at a bar while I was out with someone else - it sounds bad, but it wasn't - the guy I was with was introducing everyone "Stacey, that's Joe." That was it. It was months later when I asked him to dance and he said "No." I knew he wouldn't, I just couldn't think of anything else to say. Six years or so later - we're planning a wedding...lol.

We met online through a dating service. I know it sounds lame but I was new in town and hadn't met anyone and couldn't because I worked with old married guys who never went out. So I took matters into my own hands and joined a dating service. I never ever thought I'd meet the man I would marry!!:wink:

I met Nicholas on line. Not a dating service but in a quiz room. We were both members of a Quiz Chat room. I sucked at quizes, never got a right answer. Unlke him who is a quiz freak. We were friends first for a long time. We chatted on the phone off and on for a while after knowing each other on line for a while. Before we knew it we were always looking on line for each other. I am glad my ex got me into the quiz room LOL. I'm awful I know.

I met Justin when I was 15 or 16 (something like that) at a high school rodeo. I was sitting in the stands with a few of my friends and he was roping. One of my friends said that she thought he was cute and another one of my friends gave him her number the next Monday at school. They dated until we graduated from high school and then they broke up.

Justin and I remained friends and even went to the same college. We even had one class together before we started dating. We sat by each other and talked every day, but we both were dating other people. I hadn't seen him in a long time and I ran into him at a gas station in our home town. I told him to give me a call over spring break, but he didn't. I looked up him e-mail address on the school's website because I had lost his phone number. Then I didn't hear from him for another 5 months! Finally he called me. We were 20 by this time and we have been happily together ever since!

Technically Brian and I met online. We found out about 3 weeks into dating that he had actually grew up with my older half-brothers and him and the youngest were childhood best friends. The boys lived with their mom outside of Dallas and I lived with our dad and my mom near Jacksonville. They had lost contact when the boys moved in with us and hadnt talked to each other in 20 years. Thanks to me :bblol: they were able to reconnect and are able to talk again!!!

We originally met in High School. I lived across the street from him and waited for the bus in his yard every morning. When it rained, his foster mother made me come stand on their porch so I wouldn't get wet. I was a real snob to him then though. We met up again in 2004 when my friend was dating his cousin and they kind of threw us together while I was dating someone else. I left that other guy to be with Pat.

i met my fiance in college and after we finished it we didn't see each other for 4 years he was engaged to onther girl then he left her and after 1 year after he left her he call me and we met for 5 or 7 times then he ask to marry me ... after 9 years we engaged and we will marry on September

I voted 'other' ... DH and I met where I worked at the time (a she store) he was a customer. I guess I was giving him such good customer service he kept coming back and talking to me. Finally I had to ask him out myself ;)

I just have to say that it wasnt really high school for us... we were in Junior High when we met in Band class! I was having a bad day and he went out of his way to make me smile... I fell in love!

we met through a friend- not like a set up or somehting but the friend and i went to his house to pick up something for her bf (her bf and my fh were close friends and her bf left some keys at my fh house)

i told her i was tired and didnt want to go anywhere but she insisted i take the ride with her cuz it was late and she didnt want to go alone. Plus i kept arguing tht i looked like sh*t - no makeup, just jeans and a tshirt and my long hair in a messy bun, and i was in no shape to meet or see anyone!
Her bf called while we were pulling up and said "ill meet you guys over there, we can all hang out for a bit" i was pissed but couldnt do anything about it. I didnt have my car- i met my now fh and he was very nice- but i wasnt interested! not even when he whipped out his smooth "so when are you letting me take you out" line. eventually he got my number, he called when he said he would- which was a huge turn on haha and the rest as they say is history!
