HAIR-tastic!

I have always had long hair, at it's longest it would touch my belt when I looked up. It was long. Well in a "Samson and Delilah" moment I cut it off. My ex loved my hair, and I wanted him to leave me alone so I cut it off to get him to not like me any more. And I had been toying with the idea for a while.

Well met FH and between meeting him and our first date I cut 13 inches off (yes I did donate it to locks of love)...well now I want it longer to be able to be styled for the wedding. I have decided my hair doesn't grow. Plain and simple it doesn't grow! I've been at this for about 3-4 months now and it doesn't seem any longer!

I heard all the tricks, trim a little often, take prenatal vitamins, drink lots of water, take lots of normal vitamins, but none of those help me right now!

Ok that's my whole grip...I just keep hoping if I pull on it it will grow faster...

You've got plenty of time to grow Your Hair before Your Wedding.

Since October Mine has grown about Four Inches. I can tell because of the Four Inches of Grey Roots :rofl:

Last night i shaved DH's head from about two inches long down to bald. :bbeek: I sat there afterwards seriously considering getting the clippers out and giving Myself a Number 4. Back to Grey and start again.

I hate that "Pulled Through The Hedge Backwards, Between Styles" look.

Now where did i put those garden shears LOL.

Aww I'm sure your hair is growing, just maybe too slow to actually see!
I'm trying to grow mine out as well, and it does seem to be going but so slowly!

Danielle - about biotin, weird question, since you took it to help your hair grow back faster, you said it worked - but does it make other hair grow back faster too? :icon_barbar:Because if I have to shave twice a day.....lol

I really didn't notice any other extreme hair growth anywhere else beside my head. However I shave everyday so I am not sure how much I would notice. But biotin mainly makes your hair stronger so it will not break as much and thus will grow faster, its not like miracle grow.

You always have the option to use hair extensions.

My one friend has short hair and she's using extensions to have the long look.

I've tried growing my hair out for a year and its only just past my shoulders. It grows but then I just have to trim it because the ends are so dry, especially in the winter. I may have to try biotin & see how it works. I only have 3 months til the wedding so I don't expect it to grow too much before then, but it would be nice to have stronger hair, if nothing else! :)

I'm surprised the prenatals didn't work! I hope it turns around and sprouts soon!

If you go to wal-mart or even target, they sell vitamins that are specifically for hair and nails. Anything that includes Keratin (like jello, or even keratin vitamins/supplements) will help your hair and nails.

Prenatal vitamins making hair grow is an old wives tale. Its the actually being pregnant that makes your hair grow. And while I want children...trying to explain why I conceived them would be a little ridiculous!

I'm growing mine for the wedding and as soon as it is over, I am chopping half of it off. Takes way too long to style!!
