As some of You know i've started My new job of selling stuff on eBay.

I've been at the Computer listing My own stuff. And then looking at other peoples junk to buy in bulk. :bbeek:

Yes i'm sad LOL

The Car Boot Season starts in the UK soon. (A bit like a Garage Sale in a field for those who don't know what i mean). On eBay some people are selling their entire stock for next to nothing.

So i've been squinting at the screen. Looking through hundreds of really small pictures. Just to find one of two items that would be worth the entire purchase. Then sell the rest on as profit.

It's surprising what You can find among all the junk in a box. It only takes a couple of items to be worth the Petrol to collect. Then i'm on it like a Woman possessed LOL.

We're off up North this weekend to see the Kids and i've been looking at stuff near them to see if there's any bargains to be had. It's easy to put a postcode in and ask for "Nearest First". :winktongue:

We are also winning a bid for 400+ Boxes and Mailers. If We win then we've saved a fortune going back and forth to the Post Office getting packaging for items sold.

I've been so busy i don't know where i found time to go to work.
Now i just need a bigger house to store it all. :bbeek:

My spare room looks like a Warehouse. And i need to sell one more item so i can get new Glasses

It's going great. :) It's 6.16am here at the moment. I've had to get up early because DH said i had messages online. He checks the eBay before going to work.

I put one Model Car on there yesterday. And so far i've had people in Australia, Italy, Japan and Greece asking for the shipping costs to their address. (We only had postage to the UK on the auction).

I guess i'm sitting on a little classic here. And people are fighting over it.

Let the games commence. :icon_barbar: LOL.

Once you get it all figured out, please let me know the secret. Everytime I list our stuff there, it sits (and sits and sits and sits) but it always sells elsewhere.

My friend (also makes hand made items) tells me that I have to put a ridiculously low price on the item so that it generates a bidding war ..... but what if it doesn't?!

I just figured Ebay wasn't the place for listing hand made stuff???

The trick is to start it low. But You have to start at a price you want for it. Then everything else is a bonus.
In the UK everything starts at a price with a 9 in it. I.E 49p, 99p, £1.99. That way people think they are getting a bargain. Something for 99p will sell quicker than something for a penny more at £1.

There's 15 watching the Morris Minor Model now. :bbeek: I started it at £1.99 because i know there are fans out there. (I even have the real thing in My Garage) There's six days to go and then the bidding war will kick in.

You have to put items in obvious catagories or else it gets swallowed up among the thousands, if not, millions of items on there.

eBay in the UK is big buisness. I'm just surprised i never did it sooner.

Although i did have a problem listing My Car CD Player because it wasn't on their recognised lists. But i somehow managed to get around it. :winktongue: It was only in the car for three months, then i blew the car engine up. So in the end the CD Player was worth more than the vehicle

We won the 400+ Boxes. I go to collect them on Tuesday.
mmmm i hope they fit in a Ford Focus LOL.

DH has the Van.
How dare He work for a living
