Yay!! AF finally paid me a visit!!

I was on day 6 past provera.. the doctor said it could take up to 10 days, though I was starting to worry that it would never come. The weird thing is that it's really really light (though as long as it's here and it counts, I'm happy that it's light!)

DH and I decided to wait to ACTIVELY try until he gets a new job (which will hopefully be any day now). He knows that I'm ready when he is, but I don't want to push it on him in any way, so we left it that he'll give me the green light when he's ready. Sounds like a good plan :)

So I've decided to chart my "probable" ovulation, which should come at the end of this week. I informed hubby so that we could decide either to TRY or to NOT try. For this month, we decided to not try. We're going to play it month by month from here on out. The month that we feel things are starting to slow down and job prospects for DH are looking good, we'll start to try!!!

I thought the plan was great until this morning when I read through Haley's TTC journal for the first time. I read through the WHOLE thing (all twenty-some pages). I got really swept up in her emotions, and now all I can think about is a baby. I know that maybe it isn't the right time, but is it EVER the right time? People just seem to make it work no matter what...

My bottom line is that I DO NOT want to push dh to start before he's 100% ready! But it's hard to keep myself grounded on the subject when I feel sooooo ready!!!

Aw Kristen! I'm glad I could inspire you so much! I just wish it were better timing for you!!!

Don't worry. You'll get preggo when it is right and when you are both ready for it. Well, I take that back. I don't think most people ever think they're 100% ready, but you figure it out and enjoy the ride!

I think it's good not to pressure DH too much, but subtle hints never hurt anyone. Before you know it, he'll be like Kevin and start pointing at every baby you see in public!

Hey ladies! I saw this and thought of all of you. It's an offer for 10 free OPKs or pregnancy tests from sacred heart.

Here's the link:

I didn't really check them out myself since I'm not TTC, but hopefully it's useful to someone!

so w/o really temping or using opks or anything i think i've figured out that i'm O'ing around CD 12... b/c the past day or two i've been *tmi alert btw* having alot of CM n w/o like touchin it n all that jazz... it would appear to be of the eggwhite variety... and i've also been in the BDing mood the past like 3 days LOL so i think my body is telling me something :eureka:

but it doesn't get this bad every month so i'm also wondering if i'm not o'ing every month... which i realize i won't know until i test n temp n all that which i'm not planning on doing until we move from Pre-ttc to ttc

on a diff. note, i found out one of FH's friend's wife is preggo's today... not sure if FH knows... so i'm like waiting for him to come home n find out b/c he NEVER tells me these things... which irks me greatly , i'm not gonna lie it kinda made me a lil jealous b/c i want to just be married n ttcing already LOL ... even FH has been making the comment a lot about wanting a family n feeling left out b/c we don't have kids n everyone around us has kids already... he's also a bit of an old fart:parp: so his biological clock is prolly ticking hahahaha

It's good you're paying attention to CM now because when you start TTC, you'll be one step closer to understanding your body!

I'm sure it's hard hearing about other friends who are :preggo:. I had similar issues pre-ttc, but your day will come soon enough! Just focus on the wedding now and it should keep your mind off babies and on the big day instead!!! When I was planning my wedding, I couldn't get it off my brain for 2 seconds!

It's hard getting a baby out of your mind when you really want one!!

Just wanted to say that you can have different effects depending on which side you ovulate from.... As in, you may get more obvious symptoms when O'ing from left than right, or vice versa. O'ing from one side (i think right?) has also been linked to more severe morning sickness once pregnant, which is bizarre but cool.

I understand the baby bug is getting to you, but I guess you just have to try and enjoy the relative 'freedom' while you have it. Enjoying the pregnancy and babies will come later, and will be so worth the wait!!

wow that is really interesting and i never really thought of that as a possibility... **** why do our bodies have to be so complicated! men have it SO easy :sorry:

LOL i'm sort of in this place where i want and don't want to wait at the same time... its very confusing... i think it's my body saying HURRY UP! but my mind saying Let's be reasonable here! So i'm enjoying the ride just sometimes its harder to wait than others...

Yeah it is much more straightforward for men!

Hey, I feel you! I have hit a stage where I am even more baby-mad than usual, but I know I have to wait a few *years* before we could maybe start TTC... My brain is constantly doing battle with my body/hormones/biological clock. It sucks :sob:
But I think doing it smart will pay off in the long run... So you know when it comes time to TTC you will be as prepared as possible, and you can enjoy the process!!

SkippyNXC
11-06-2009, 10:23 PM
so i had to tell FH about his friend (LOL well i didn't have to but i felt weird knowing n being unsure if he knew about it...) so this got us back on the baby subject for like the millionth time but it was good to talk about b/c mentally and emotionally we're in the same exact place we both want it but know we have to wait a little longer... n that makes it a bit easier for me i suppose... so we're still on track for joining the TTC club late summer/early fall...

One again we (well, DH) has decided to wait this cycle. A lot of it is hinging on him getting a job. After he said again to wait this month, I suggested that maybe we not revisit the subject until after the holidays, just because it might put a little stress on an already stressful time of the year. So.... I won't be next :p

Well, ladies we sure did get pregnant on the first try. On the 16th, I got a faint pink line, and the next morning I took a digital test that said in no uncertain terms that I was pregnant!

Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage last Monday. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and she confirmed it. I had a bunch of bloodwork done and got checked out. She said everything looks good and it was complete, so I don't have to get a D&C.

Last week was really rough emotionally and physically. Our entire world changed and that was hard to deal with. Lots of tears and moping. I was really weak from giving a bunch of blood at the doctor's and losing it with the miscarriage. My hormones have been a roller coaster ride, but I feel 100% again. I had a huge steak dinner Christmas Eve that fixed me up pretty well. I think once I get pregnant again I will have to have a steak dinner lined up after each visit I have to give blood at! :yesnod:

My doctor is very hopeful for us, and she's encouraged by the fact that we got it on the first try! She warned us not to expect to get pregnant on the first shot again, but of course we're hoping for that anyway. We can start trying again after I have a period. JD is of course excited that we get to try again-the first time was really fun! My doctor said it might take a while for my period to come back, but I swear I'm feeling familiar ovulation cramps today (just a week after the m/c started!), so it might be sooner than we think! I am going back for a well-woman exam on the 12th.

That's great she showed up on time. Sounds like AF is being her usual b*tchy self! Darn her anyway! But at least she was punctual! :D

I'm just really happy b/c the past couple months I've been sweating her out b/c she's been late enough that i've wanted to POAS... so for her to show up right on time was such a blessing LOL

this thread has been dead for awhile since the advent of all the TTCing journals! lol

so i thought i'd pop in and share i started taking pre-natals this week, got the Spring Valley brand and i really like em b/c they're not very big (actually a little smaller than my old wal-mart multivitamin) and so far haven't made me nauseous when i took them on a not completely full stomach!

woo hoo another step towards beginning our TTC journey! (at which time i will actually start a journal ;))
