*Kind* of bridezilla? OMG, I spent the whole show hoping that he, a nice guy and a true gentleman and FAR too good for her, would wind up canceling everything and jilting her. She would have totally deserved it. :irked:
I seem to recall hearing that the dress she wore was designed for her from a local wedding gown shop. Or maybe, 'shoppe'. I don't think it was a dress that you can find nationally.
Maybe you could go to WE's website and ask there? Or maybe they'll have the episode again and you can watch it -- she says a lot about her dress at one point, I just can't remember the details, because she really irritated me.
Sorry I can't be of more help!

You mean this?

It looks to me like one of those sets for bridesmaids where you pick the top and wear with a skirt, or pretty close. I bet you can find one you like if you go have a look at them, and then just wear it with a white tulle skirt. I know my daughter got a black tulle skirt and bustier for her prom a couple years ago and they had white tulle skirts then, too. If you can't find one to buy you might consider making or having it made by a seamstress. Another thought...you might buy a wedding gown you like the skirt/train of somewhere....and have the top cut off and a waist band added.

Yeah I'm not sure where to find that dress. I would think you would have to get it custom made. But she should have totally been on Bridezillas, not Rich Bride Poor Bride.
And for the record, I thought the red and the kilts looked great together!!

I personally didn't like the red top thing.. but then again... i'm not one for two tones... if it was all red..fine..all white..fine..but red AND white..um.. no.
Just my opinion..
As for her attitude.. ugh.. i'm surprised he didn't put her in her place.. after all.. the wedding day was more than just "all about her" ... she definently annoyed me and FH.

It is very sad, but I actually know her, we went to school together.
I stared in amazement watching the show go from bad to worse. I no longer live in the same town, but I know all the locations she was at! My prom was at the same location as her wedding reception.
My older brother also went to school with Len, and when I made him watch the show, he couldn't believe what Len was putting up with !!
I was embarassed for her. Even if they edited the show to make her seem b*tchy, she gave them WAY too much material to work with!! She was the same in high school though - soooo high maintenance.
I really liked her dress though (although not really what I would want for my wedding - prom maybe?), and thought the kilts looked great with the colour - then again, what do I know, I don't know any circus freaks to compare it too.

I was really upset with her and the way she treated the groom. I felt like on sooo many issues she really went into overkill. I also felt bad for the wedding planner at the kilt shop.IMO, I think the kilts were a fantastic nod to his heritage and the one worn by the groom was the actual style of his family. The issue with the kilts should have never been an issue at all.

This sort of example is THE reason that I decided not to go into wedding planning as a career. I love weddings, I love working with people, I love planning events, and I seriously considered becoming a wedding planner in the past.
But I know that I would never allow somebody like that woman to treat me so poorly, and I know that I would NEVER have been able to hold onto my temper the way Mel and Len's planner did (what a noble woman), and I *know* that I would have wound up firing that couple -- after giving the bridezilla a significant piece of my mind about her behavior -- and having to give them their money back.
Which is not the way to run a business! Nor is it a good way to get beneficial word-of-mouth reputation, although frankly I wouldn't mind being known as a wedding planner who doesn't take that kind of behavior and expects brides and grooms to have both maturity and manners.
And since it seems like the regular posters here on OneWed are the ONLY brides (and a couple grooms!) on the *planet* who do have both maturity and manners, I get the feeling that in the real world, the bridezillas would outnumber the kind of clients I would want about 100-1.
I don't like those odds.
So, no wedding planning for me!
