I have heard people use bed sheets.

I'd say to look into gossamer. It comes in huge rolls, and considering covering the walls, it's probably the cheapest way to go. Comes in all different colors too! :D

so i looked up gossamer. and if FH allows it and it fits in our budget we will use it... but does anybody have any DIY ideas or any websites on how to hang it?

Depending on other things...what about rolls of brown packing / freezer paper? It might be the cheapest thing, try wholesale paper goods places that sell to commercial places. I know you can buy giant rolls that are six feet wide as I used to work at a wholesale place that sold such an item and it wasn't that expensive either. At least it would be better than the grey and red. You'd probably have to get them to let you put it up with painter's tape. Speaking of which try a painter's supply for the paper also!

depending on the size of your venue, you can buy single kind-size flat sheets at walmart, for as little as $5-$7...for us it'd worked if we needed to, because my room is brown and mint...and i have a king bed ;)
