Hello! Brandon, my fiance, and I have our wedding set for June 12, 2010. We're planning on having an outdoor ceremony in my parent's backyard, and then traveling to an indoor facility for the reception.

So far all we have chosen is our date, our venues, and our colors; which are blue and green.

Hopefully some of you girls will have some ideas for me!!! Can't wait to looking around the site!

Thanks girls! I LOVE the colors. I'm just worried about keeping the wedding elegant and not tacky. I don't want the blue and green to come off as being too bold. So I'm trying ti figure out a way to decorate our possible reception venue, with the linens being white and the chair covers and bows being white. I know that we can add a little color in the napkins, centerpieces, and possible table runners...but I'm not sure about the table runners and napkins. What colors would you girls go with?

I don't think your colors are overly bold - I'm using turquoise and fuchsia which I never really thought I would be...lol.

I think either the blue or green would look great as a table runner color.

I agree. I LUV those colors. I'm sure my FH would have LOVED had I went with anything green ~ I would keep them muted though ~ more along the pastel line ~ that would be very UN-tacky. Beautiful reception site, btw.

So when I was talking to Brandon last night about our colors and the shades, I found this picture:

And love it! It's a navy dress, with what I would guess is a periwinkle sash? I love it! And the light green, white, and blue flowers :) It would work for both our outdoors ceremony and indoor reception. I'm excited!

The decorator for the venue, I'm going to see on Saturday at a bridal show that they're having at the Crystal Room, and they'll be able to show me what they can do, and have done. SO I'm really excited because they're amazing!!!!

Beautiful venue! We are doing our head table with white rope lighting and tulle, too! Nice.
