We are Elizabeth & Hugh of Serendipity Crafts. We design & hand paint personalized signature guest platters & souvenir plates for your special day (and many other occasions as well!).

We have many, many pictures to post to our website, so if you have something in mind, we probably have it and if we don't, that is not a problem either. We welcome custom orders and we will even create a FREE digital sample of your custom plate or platter before it is even painted!

Hi guys, I received my platter today! It is so wonderful, what a great job Hugh did on the painting. It sure looks like he will be in trouble for having to paint a lot more. I love it so much and the flowers turned out just like the picture looked, we can't express how much it means to us to be able to afford to have this wonderful piece of art on our signing table at the wedding, our guests will be so surprised at how creative an idea it is. It was wonderful doing business with both of you and the communication was great. Your work is beautiful and I will deffinatly spread the word. I doubt this will be the last plate I see from you. LOL he's into a lot! This sign was $50. It's about 32" long by 11" high. We don't do very much woodworking because we are in a very small place and we don't have a wood shop any longer. That said, we can do a straight sign such as this. Just not one that would require fancy cuts or scroll work.

I used to make some beer/fish plaques years ago ... the would be perfect for him if you can find someone that makes them. The empty bottle (use his favorite brand) is glued by the side onto a plaque (the bottle is lying on it's side).

A wood fish head is glued to the board at the bottom end of the bottle, a tail is glued to the board at the openning of the bottle, and a fin is glued to the board on the top side and bottom side of the bottle. Then a saying is painted on .... something like "Dave's Best Catch" or "Catch of the Day!"

The problem is that I can visualize it better than I can describe it.

OMG!! I am so excited to see this up here! This platter was a surprise gift from my mom (she told me about it) and she incorporated my true loves...Jason, and my girls; YES all of them. Thank you Elizabeth this will be on display at the wedding....it will not be signed. I have always wanted to include the girls and this is how we will do it!!!!! I am so happy with it.

You are welcome but it's your Mom you need to thank. She is the one that came up with the concept, sent us pics, and set the whole thing into motion. You are one lucky girl to have a Mom such as Karen! I think she's going to need a good long rest after your wedding :)

And yesterday .... I saw a classified ad for some neat guest book pages that another bride had left over after her wedding and so, I have emailed her about that. LOL

** This banner will just say Elizabeth & Hugh. I made it so that I can practice painting on this before I move onto the two banners for the church and the 3 clerical stoles that I have to do. So much to do and not enough time! LOL

The roses appear to be a burnt orangey peach? Anyhooos .... if you can email us the pic (the larger/ high resolution the file the better), I will email you our plate & platter price/size/shape list and you can decide from there. We will also produce a digital mock up of your design on the plate.

That said, it's time to plan for my own wedding (and I have plenty still left to do - EEEK!) Not to worry. We have plenty of time to do a plate or platter and get it to you in time for your wedding.

The roses appear to be a burnt orangey peach? Anyhooos .... if you can email us the pic (the larger/ high resolution the file the better), I will email you our plate & platter price/size/shape list and you can decide from there. We will also produce a digital mock up of your design on the plate.

That said, it's time to plan for my own wedding (and I have plenty still left to do - EEEK!) Not to worry. We have plenty of time to do a plate or platter and get it to you in time for your wedding.
